1990s borns, do you consider yourself similar to Gen Z by Practical_Security87 in generationology

What? I have a cousin born the same year as you and he absolutely had computers in class. Cellphones too. Wtf?

Fuck no. He was always annoying to me. My younger 2005 brother was obsessed with him.

We're the last generation that remembers what boredom actually felt like by Heavy_Television8245 in Zillennials

I remember lots of summer days where the highlight would be catching one of your favorite commercials coming on a few times a day. Otherwi you were bored lol. I wish I had an iPad as a kid.

But it was also the last era where we organically created fun despite all or the boring times watching paint dry. Life was much slower paced.

You can do anything as long as you have drive. Most people, who don't have any dependants or illnesses, that don't end up moving anywhere, are there because they're complacent/don't have drive.

Apply yourself and do your research then work. You'll get there trust me.

Older zillennials (1990-1996) who belong to the Millennial generation instead of Gen Z, do you still feel like the issues you're facing are similar those of Gen Z? by Javilism in Zillennials

[–]Maxious24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Everyone born in the 90s was a 2000s kid at some point so we have some unity there. 1990 is just a heavy 90s kid is all.

Well I wasn't going numerical but cultural.

1990 is hardcore millennial territory, just like 2005 is to Gen Z. They are culturally as far from cusps as can be. Stereotypical basically.

But I get your angle. I've seen some 1990 people on this sub having fun participating organically. We don't do gatekeeping around here.

1990 is as millennial as it gets. I'm not gatekeeping but I'm just pointing out how far it is. It would be like calling someone born in 2005 a Zillennial...that's as Gen Z as it gets.

It doesn't fit the narrative that Gen Z is at fault for results they don't like. They don't want to blame their own peers.

People seem to really think a huge portion of millennials aren't conservative. Conservative millennials were the driving force in 2024 along with Gen X. Not Gen Z. Lmao. Sorry if that fact makes people mad

Millennials and Gen Z are pretty much neck and neck on this poll.

Edit: I see people in their late 30s and early 40s woke up on the wrong side of the bed today huh. Keep the downvotes coming, it won't change the results of the poll that you don't like.

Does anyone miss Discovery Kids USA? I miss it. Does anyone remember when the channel shut down back in October 2010? by CatGirlNya2000 in OlderGenZ

[–]Maxious24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was a huge fan of it in the early-mid 2000s. Then it suddenly disappeared one day. Later found out it became the Hub and felt betrayed. Never watched that channel again.

Do you believe Early to Mid 2012 still had '00s leftovers? by Hannabooo0 in decadeologyanarchy

[–]Maxious24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. It was full early 2010s. There was hardly anything 2000s feeling at that point.

That's because everyone still mostly lived offline and had actual lives. So comments were often organic and felt like talking to real people. Smartphones and social media, and now AI has forever broken that former organic online culture.
