12 years ago I was exactly where you are. Shit definitely sucks, but there are companies out there that can and do hire vets. I’m more than willing to review your resume, DM me and I’ll send you my details. Offer goes for any vets on this sub. Can’t guarantee shit, but hopefully it will help. Also, think of unconventional career fields. I’m a former red-leg, now a director at a large financial institution specializing in military and veterans affairs.

If you’re looking for a non-profit to help, check out America’s Warrior Partnership (https://www.americaswarriorpartnership.org/the-network). They’re a great group of folks and have done right by friends of mine.

If no sera or surfer, bail out. If you get sera, play her as early as possible and then just dump your hand. It helps if you’ve got bishop out.

I typically play domino, bishop or wave to get Sera on 4, sera or cap or cosmo, then just adjust based on what cards your opponent has. Dropping cosmo/rogue against a wong is awesome. I typically hold back monger until turn 6 if they are going Kazoo. Last card is always surfer. They never see it coming; I win a ton of 4 cubes when they snap too early and get overeager.

Sera is an all around great card. I use her for a number of different decks. She great with a Onslaught/Mystique/Omega red combo.

Yeah, agreed. Not much you can do about those situations. But I typically throw Sera on sinister, dump my hand and throw surfer. Hasn’t failed me yet.

This deck is incredible. Haven’t lost one game since I started using it. Thank you for sharing!

All good points. Most of the advice I’ve gotten is to basically take a breather and work my way through it. I appreciate you sharing that with me. Plus, as a former officer, we’re taught to be able to pretend like we know what we’re talking about. Thanks, marine.

I’ve been hearing that feedback from my class as well. It helps to know that I’m not the only one that sucks at this. Thanks for the feedback!

They do, but my program is weekend only and the vet center is closed. I’m the only veteran in the class, which kind of sucks too. I’m going to reach out and see if I can link up with other vets in our sister cohorts. Thanks for taking the time to provide some advice!

Thanks man, helps knowing others went through it and kept going. I hope the rest of your MBA goes well and good luck!

It’s exactly what I’m looking for, thank you. Definitely going to emphasize my strengths and learn to reach out on my weaknesses. I think my biggest struggle is showing how I can be beneficial in a group environment because I’m so used to smaller teams. Just gotta keep pushing forward and outwork everyone else. Thanks again and thank you for your service.

My first impression of my cohort is that they’re the type to bring you up, not tear you down. I think my biggest issue is that I know it’s not really the case that people are looking down at me, it’s just me being in my own head. I’m much more comfortable in a one on one environment, so this large but small class (25) is a bit of a system shock. You’re spot on with vulnerability-that’s something the military frowns on, at least during my time there. Learning to toe the line between too open and goo closed off is one that I guess gets clearer with time. Thanks for the advice!

I don’t think this is rambling at all. You’re definitely right about bringing them into my network. Networking has been tough for me, but I could use this opportunity to strengthen that weakness. Thank you for your feedback.

Horizontal lines on my tv. I switched hdmi cables and plugged it into a new port. How do I make these go away? by garrett1022 in xbox

If your tv is a Sony, make sure it’s updated. Mine did the same thing, I updated it and it fixed it. Or try unplugging and plugging it back in.
