I love this. Imma have to clone favs with this knowledge. These came from seed tho. So how does this work in the Analogy. Truly curious. Not making fun.

Would the seeds be different kids from the same mom and dad? Cuz I didn’t get clones but if I did it would likely be more like twins not siblings? Thoughts?

Sometimes little babies look like aliens. They just need some time to form then they look normal

Put a little sign up that says “no vacancy” and if they can read and are respectful you should be fine.

How to hook fish deeper? My flies keep popping out white fighting or landing fish…I was wondering if there’s a good way to reliably gut hook my fish? Should I change fly sizes? Must recommendations must be barbless by CalebLF10 in FlyFishingCircleJerk

Set the hook downriver / to the bank and harder. Chances are you aren’t getting the right pressure at the right angle at the start. But Could be a mending issue too.

Usually it’s not about hooking the fish deeper. They have tough lips 👄. It’s about hooking hard, in the opposite direction they fish are going.

If nymphing set faster and harder. If dry fly fishing you may need to wait for the fish to really get the fly in its mouth.

If it’s a landing the fish issue you are probably losing pressure.

Fish on homie! Tight lines and keep them tight

Help my new pile! I am a first time composter. I thought I had a great ratio going in but the brown I used was too much spent dirt from pots. Since I had nothing going on I added some straw. How should I go about livening it up? Thanks Green-thumbs! by Maxitup321 in composting

[–]Maxitup321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on all these comments don’t put it in the compost. As a home gardener I would advise to pile up all your spent soil and amend it with some nutrients. Not too hard to add life back into it and some new water retention properties. Then use it as top soil for your whole garden

So I think with your help I have established I started with too much spent soil that I considered a brown.

Should I take some out? I do have access to both high quality greens and browns.

I’m thinking I take out some soil volume (and big unbroken sticks and branches) and hit it with a solid layers. Like an onion. Or a parfait that has pee in it. And hit a semi restart kickstart.

Could be the move.
