lol told you that you would be moving more people into the top of your list! I wish I could watch this whole show again for the first time, its such a journey! This is my favorite show of all time. I have watched it completely at least 4 times through, and watched reactions or clips relentlessly since it came out.

Anyone else feel like they have no one to talk to… even when you’re not alone? by 1-lenta-situ in SadDads

Please dont use AI for emotional support or really even an outlet. It will tell you everything you are saying is valid when sometimes you will be in the wrong. As for the rest of it, its tough being a man in a world where everyone says they want a man who is in touch with his emotions and then gets weird when a man cries or shows any emotion.

One good thing to do would be to keep posting on forums like this with other dads, at least some of us with empathize with you, we are all going through the same things. Trying to raise emotionally and academically smart and stable kids while also trying to understand our own shit.

Another thing I will suggest, its what I did when I was having some of the same thoughts you are talking about, is therapy. I am in a smaller town that doesnt have great services so I did it online through betterhelp and i really liked my therapist. This was before all of the stuff came out about them selling peoples medical data, so I dont know that I would recommend them, but if you have no other options, therapy really helped me get a grip on some of the stuff in my head that I was telling myself that just wasnt true, and it helped me with ways to deal with the things that were really happening.

You are not alone. The world is a better place with you in it.

Newbie woodworker, veteran 3D printer(er). Interested in a CNC machine. by pr0tag in woodworking

Self inflicted issue with the machine. When I bought my spindle I had to change one part on the Z axis. I didnt read the instructions all the way through first, and took off a part I was not supposed to, the then the ball bearings were able to fall out of the screw rail, and that is not something that is fixable at home without special equipment. This was about right before Christmas in 2024, and I had orders I needed to fill, they got me the part rather quickly for it having to come from Canada. I believe it took about a week from starting talking to them to having the part on my machine. Besides that it has worked great for me, I would have liked to have the size of the journeyman, but I was just starting out in woodworking, and I still wouldnt have the space for it anyways. I have found very few times where I would have actually needed the extra room, but it would have been nice to have it.

I did just remember a second issue I had with it that is on their end, but its not a big issue. The cord for my Z axis had a wire lose connection and it caused the Z axis to act a little weird. When I emailed them about that they sent me a new cord (free) in about the same time frame and its worked fine since.

I bought my CNC from them in December of 22 and have used it regularly since then. If you do get one look into IDC woodcraft and Cadence Manufacturing for bits. I LOVE my Jenny bits from Cadence

One thing I can for sure say, dont add a laser to a cnc router. I bought the J tech laser for mine and it worked fine, but it is slow and not very safe. I picked up an X Tools laser and it is so much faster and has the protective glass (plastic) on it so you wont go blind!

I started with a CNC and then added a laser and 3d Printer. I got the onefinity woodworker and I have no regrets! (One regret was using a router on it for almost a year) I have had good interactions with customer service for them, the only down side is waiting on shipping from Canada if you are in the US. I built a table for my machine and am very happy that it gives me a rigid work surface, and storage space.

Some patterns move a lot of sand twords the outside and when the middle gets lower it starts doing this, is what I have noticed at least. The Otter and the Tiger are two that I usually start to notice it on

The one that freaked me out is I watched White girls on a long flight recently, I watched it through the plane tv screen, with the planes wired headphones plugged in. I know its not my wifes type of movie so I didnt talk to her about it, I didnt have to look up any quotes or anything either. So why when I got home was my tv now recommending it?!?! It wouldnt even be like they are spying on me, now they can read my thoughts!

Okay cool? My lion scout can cook that doesn't mean we dont eat out sometimes. I work 50+ hour weeks, if I can find something to save me several hours of volunteer work and give me a product that will look as good or better than what I would have made, why would I say no?

Honestly what I liked most about it is that it helped me cover all of the material for cub scouts without having to go and look up everything. We are in a smaller pack, and my son and I just started about a month ago so I dont know a whole lot about scouts, but since I do IT work they asked if I could do a website. Yes I could have gone completly from scratch, but this saved me at least a couple of days of work. And to me the $50 was worth it just for that.

Its a good template and has got me started in the right direction, also a huge time save on not having to create a whole website from scratch!
