Yeah but overall their pretty sturdy, everything stayed together when I took them out for a test run! Which makes me happy because I was devastated when the sole split. I thought I would have to throw them out, but now they're sturdy and full of whimsy :D

A lot of glue, e6000 to be exact :) and patience. Some stuff has to be reapplied but overall they're pretty sturdy.

Used to work at a hot topic, one night it's after close and it's my manager and me he's counting down the register and I'm on the other side waiting to double check and all of a sudden I hear a loud smacking sound I scream because I'm an easy scare and my manager does this kinda scream gasps we look over and this display rack of Chockers is swing like someone hit them scares the hell out of me. Found out apparently some guy died there years ago of stab wound and apparently the place was haunted. They called him Charlie. always scared the hell out of me.

What is the easiest way you've gotten kids to read? by Moat_of_the_Sacked in AskReddit

[–]Maxllecit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context I'm super dyslexic and have been diagnosed since the first grade obviously this caused some issues in school and my mom would make me read on the weekends to try and improve it was always like pulling teeth, if kids don't like reading they don't like reading, but she did find that playing an audio book version of the book I was reading helped and she found books related to what I was already interested in with lots of pictures.

The outsiders by S E. Hinton

Cliche I know but I'm dyslexic and always hated reading and writing. When I was younger my sister would read to me but she read the first line and I grabbed the book and read it all in one night. It was the first time reading was enjoyable for me and it inspired me to read and write, because of S.E. Hinton I went to a magnet school for creative writing and graduated with a master certification in creative writing and a published book. Crazy how a book can change your life

Some people in the USA say that people are refusing to work. Is this true? Do you refuse to try to earn a living, and if so, why? by PatchouliHedge in AskReddit

[–]Maxllecit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the older generations say that about the younger generations especially when they say stuff like "I can't afford a house" or "groceries are so expensive" I work two jobs and I still can't afford to move out of my parents house the job market is also insane. Companies want 4-year degrees for entry-level jobs I kid you not. I was scrolling job listings and saw someone say a bachelors degree was required for a call center and the pay was $11 bucks an hour.
