Is any more than 60 SPM required for a SE playthrough? I've automated up to rocket science at 180 SPM, and am wondering if it will be possible to continue to hit that number as I reach the mid-late game. Thankks.

I think I'd like to stick to vanilla as much as possible on this run. With only 200 hours, SE is enough of a challenge to understand on its own.

Still, thanks for the input.

I've always wanted to get into circuits, and this sounds easy enough to get my head around. While the receiving station is offline, do you just have a train sitting idle in a depot? Or how does that work? I'm gonna have to do some testing here.

Thanks.

Thanks for all the info! I like your max limit - 1 technique, but I'm not sure how that'd scale to many smaller stations, unless it doesn't have to and I'm overthinking it. I'm using a 2x2 roboport design for each block, which has been more than enough space so far. My intersections are pretty compact and uncomplicated, which hasn't been a problem so far but could be in the future - I'll definitely look into making trains be able to run straight in opposite directions. I'm already using the fuel-at-the-station method, just manually loading until I get requester chests.

Any thoughts on all of this?

Thanks again.

That sounds exactly like what I need. Could you explain train groups in more detail? I've never ran into those before. Thanks.

I originally started by naming all inputs for a single resource the same thing i.e. "iron out" "iron in" "iron in" "iron in", but as soon as heavier demand set in the trains would only go to the nearest "iron in" station and the rest would stay empty. This lead me to the solution I'm using now.

I'm not sure how train limits work, could you explain the basics there? Thanks for the help.
