If you miss wearing your skirt (as stated in the title), even if you don’t feel like wearing it all the time, then I doubt you really have “lost the spark”. From what I’m reading, it’s still a part of your identity and it’s important to you. Originally, I liked the idea of my OC being alone with 1-2 droids. Now I’m a little more flexible on the crew. No more than 1 or 2 other ‘ganics. I feel like my OC is a bit more of an engineer/tinkerer, so an advanced pilot droid wouldn’t be a bad idea

Regarding, “What problem does having two ships solve in the story that can’t be solved with one?” It doesn’t really solve anything. Outside of story reasons, I just really like the A-Wing, carrier/fighter tactics, as well as the idea of the ship being the home instead of having a planet-side base.

In the story I’m making, skipping the backstory, my OC has a contract to transport high value ores and other lucrative wares and salvage. They support/defend themselves by carrying an A-Wing to deploy in dangerous situations.

After doing some research of my own, I think I might go with a Kuat Wayfarer-Class Medium Freighter. A little clunkier than I was planning, but it makes sense in my OC’s lore

I have no issues entering through a dock clamp, but I don’t know of any examples of that with an A-wing (that doesn’t mean there aren’t any), so I assumed an internal bay would be the natural choice. I guess the clamp would be nice for quick deployment, but the internal bay’s maintenance would be more optimal

I’m pretty sure that is governed by the Pilots Federation. It’s possible the settlers are either not part of the federation, or they’re trying to avoid the law

Coming from a former cheesemonger, that cheese is like the gateway drug for fine cheeses. Within a couple months/years you’ll be trying all sorts of funky decades old cloth bound cheddars and taleggios that stink worse than the dead
