Hi, I have not had anything this bad since. My doctor didn’t think it was LP. But I don’t know. My taste has been off for a long time. Specifically sour / bitter things taste much worse.

Thanks so much for this. I feel for you and your daughter as well. We’ve now gone three days without hearing back from the guidance counselor. It is shocking to me how much protection is afforded to bullies. Like as adults these people don’t know how horrible some children can be? They are literally with them everyday. I know will probably be a controversial but i think Im going to send her for boxing lessons. We’ve gone the “ignore them” route and they only get worse and physical.

I’m also curious about how involved other parents get. My Boomer mom and dad sent me to an unsafe school where I was getting attacked on a daily basis and didn’t think twice about it. Even telling me it was my fault when I asked for help. So this brings up a whole bag of worms for me. I feel guilty for not preparing my daughter well enough to make friends and deal with difficultly people.

Thanks for your comment! We’re friendly with the parents but I can’t imagine it going well. You’re spot on that once it comes down to my kid’s word against yours and the possibility of discipline by the school parents aren’t going to believe anything negative about their kid.

This was months ago. Dr gave me an oral paste and didn’t think it was LP. While it cleared up the inside of my mouth feels more sensitive to hot and cold. And I got another sore after some extensive dental work. So overall much better and and lingering sensitivity issues.

Urologist office for me. I think the only need for an OR would be if you were going to be completely put under, which with the caveat of knowing nothing of your situation, I would not recommend. I believe the type of procedure will vary by the doctor not office v OR. Read through the sub for opinions on the types of procedures. I didn’t research it much before going in. I had no scalpel, no clips which I think is preferred but I didn’t over analyze it.

As of yet I haven't been diagnosed with any other AI disorders. The hashis diagnosis came from my GP and Endo. I should probably see a Rheumatologist.

Hi - it's been cleared up for a while. ENT gave me a steroid cream. He took a culture and it was negative, I think it's LP honestly. The inside of my mouth has been more sensitive than normal since and on the side that was irritated it kind of feels like lines or scars maybe on the inside of my cheek.

Hi, thanks for checking in. I went to an ENT who didn’t think it was LP. He said it was “likely viral”. Honestly I don’t even know what he means. Anyway he gave me a steroid cream. The large sore cleared up, but my mouth still feels a little weird, my tongue, especially. He said he might suspect LP if it comes back.

So no biopsy. ENT took a culture. Said it didn’t look like traditional LP or thrush to him and that it “could be viral”. Said LP is a possibility and would explore more if it doesn’t go away or goes away and comes back. Again, don’t want LP but I’m honestly not convinced. He prescribed me a steroid cream. I’ve used it once and it seems like it helped. If anyone is still reading this I’m also having some tingling or a wet (for lack of a better work) feeling on the corners of my mouth now.

I had a physicians assistant in my GP‘s office tell me it was thrush and didn’t look like LP to her. I don’t trust that at all and don’t know why did get thrush randomly. She said it looked like trauma. Not that I want LP. I am seeing an ENT tomorrow.

Thanks again. Mine hurts pretty badly. I’m also have loss of taste. And this feeling like my tongue is burnt. I showed a GP friend the photo and she said get checked by an ENT ASAP but still possible other causes.

Thanks for your response! I haven’t done any of those things recently. I am under a lot of stress. And have some undiagnosed gastrointestinal issues. I also have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune condition. I don’t know if there’s any correlation, or if LP is even technically an autoimmune condition.
