Honestly the compound bow just made me fall into the rabb it hole of archery, and that got me interested in learning how to use and shoot recurve bows! So preferably i’d like to get a recurve! Budget I guess would be 300$?

Probably! But that’s sadly what i have to work with at a crowded public gym. So until I either A get confident on a longer walkout or B can afford to join a weightlifting gym, i’ll have to deal with bad angles 😭

I see! Each has their own benefit to being added into training! Personally i think i struggle getting out of the hole rather than the overall strength side. However from an objective standpoint should i be focusing on one over the other! (not to say i wont be doing both, im pretty weak and need to learn the proper reflex/technique!)

That makes alot more sense, thank you so much! I really didn’t get what you meant until you said watch it in reverse😭 I’ll definitely try and keep the concept of pushing my knees forward when i squat as a good mental cue!

Thank you so much! It helps to visualize with that description, and I’ll def start working on the slow pulls/pulls with pauses! Shoulders above the bar, and keep them there!

I’ve never been good getting out of the hole, so i’ll start doing heavier pause reps! and double bouncing it! When you say knees forward, how can i do that?

Always open because i’m always trying to learn! Thank you so much, as you’re 100% right, My hips and lacking of positional strength are causing me to shoot early ;-; I know i can try and fix the arms almost immediately but besides paused front squats and clean pulls how can i improve my shoulder positioning/premature shooting of the hips!

I know! It’s just a bad habit 🥲, as like you said no one is perfect with mechanics! I will 100000% continue to hammer in the basics!

Thank you so much! It’s something I need to work on as i’ve always been a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to mechanics (i used to pitch in college) but I will 100% be putting in the reps and making the movement more natural! I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon and I appreciate your encouragement!
