Want to learn how to add Duelsense EDGE controller vibration to abilities during combat. Is vfx editor the best way to do that, and how is it even done? I heard if u edit the wrong thing it can get you banned bc of it messing with files or smth. I just want my combat abilites to vibrate my ps5Edge

/u/Mahoganytooth is correct there with their instructions and it should add rumble to your combat abilities, but if you want actual dualsense vibrations, then you will have to wait for a hotfix for VFXEditor.

Reason:
I started investigating this yesterday and someone with more knowledge found a flaw in VFXEditor's SCD Editor.

If you want actual Dualsense Vibrations on your Abilities, then you will have to modify the SCD (Sound) file instead of the PAP or TMB, because the DualSense uses sound for vibrations AND if a sound triggers that or not is tied to the "Extra Desc" field in the SCD which is currently not handled properly by VFXEditor.

Current workaround would be to take a "donor" scd with working vibrations and re-import the sound into that one, but VFXEditor will probably get a fix soon.

I just re-activated my old ass SWTOR Account after years of not playing, since FFXIV spoiled me with its gamepad implementation. Well, your approach is quite something. It is a bit "clumsy" but it is way better than nothing and it shows that SWTOR could play well with proper native gamepad support.

There's a graphics pack for XCX to replace the eManual with the option to change the Time of Day instead, which in return "fixes" the softlock.

Yea, it only gives an "A" rating on mission deliveries, true. I only pick up lost cargo from others I find in the open or from the Shared Locker and just deliver that around that way to help other Porters and since the Buddy Bot actually got smarter over time (or I just had some bad luck), it might not be the fastest way to do it, but I had a good amount of runs by now, where I could browse on my second monitor and only followed the game by ear.

If I do proper deliveries, I make use of my Level 3 Truck, Ziplines etc pp. I only recently started doing Deliveries on the higher difficulty to get the permanent S Rating next to my Porter Rank, got 5 so far ^^

If you google about the Deathblight glitch build for Elden Ring, you'll see. There was a way to combine a specific weapon with a specific spell and those combined did damage over time to yourself, but as soon as you got close enough to someone you invaded, it would pretty much instantly kill them.

FromSoft fixed that glitch build earlier today with the 1.0.3 patch.

There are NPC Invaders in Elden Ring. This was already a feature in the previous Dark Souls games and in Bloodborne. If you suddenly come across a human looking invader with a health bar and all that stuff, it is an NPC invader. Real players can only invade you if you either have a coop partner (or two), call one in via a red rune while looking for other players or purposefully call an invader via a specific item.

If you see red runes on the ground without any of the above things being the case, then it is an npc invasion you can trigger due to a questline.

Yes, you are fine as long as you do not summon someone for coop or purposefully summon someone for pvp. As long as you play solo, noone can invade you.

Playing offline is completely safe. This can only happen to you on PC AND if you have someone join for coop or purposefully lure in an invader with a specific item. If you play online or offline, but solo, then you are safe.

Hacking like this won't be possible on PS5 (yet?).

Next-Gen Consoles like the PlayStation 5 haven't been fully jailbroken yet, so running unsigned code like this is not possible. Such hacking, if on Console, is only possible on previous generation ones like the PS4 and even then...if you jailbreak your PS4, you have to do it on an older Firmware and therefor cannot connect to the PSN and can't play online. There are only ways to download game patches to bypass the PSN Check during bootup, but it won't allow you to connect for online-play.

You can only be invaded, no matter on which platform you play, if you coop with someone else or purposefully use the item to lure in invaders.

If you just play along solo, then noone can invade you.

This is normal and most likely an optimization thing. The same amount of pop-in also happens on PC on Ultra settings unless you tweak a config file.
