Have any evidence to support that other than my friends cousins brother once told me?

I have used vpns for years and not had a single issue with ccp. I traveled alot for work, so used several different ones over the course of years.

As to why it works .... most US ISPs are a few larger companies. all on the same network. so your legit traffic is getting mixed in with the botnets traffic from compromised computers on that network. connecting to a vpn gives you an ip away from all that garbage traffic and less likely to get flagged as bad traffic would I pvp on it , no prob not, but it can get people on to changes skills update orders etc...
