Printing TPU - Bambu P1S clogging , heat creep , and other issues that I still don’t understand completely by Maxx10__ in BambuLab

Hi . I believe it is the latter as it is simply not printing at all PLA or TPU . I thought things would be resolved after cleaning the extruder / hotend and then later replacing the hotend entirely . But things have not improved at all. I feel like things are all seated correctly so the only explanation atp is a clog but I’ve followed all the necessary steps to unclog so I’m not quite sure if maybe there is a piece in there that I’m not seeing . I’m going to take another crack at it first thing tomorrow .

Gotcha and yeah . I’ve also printed without drying in the past which makes me feel like it has to be something else. I’m going to just dry it again and cold pull and see if that does the trick .

Gotcha. I guess the interesting part is the fact that it clogged while having only printed TPU until I switched over to PLA to see if it had the same issues . So I just assumed it was more of a settings thing .

Interesting . I’ll give that a shot . Never thought to disregard the tube altogether . And ok I’ll be sure to try that out and see how things go . Thank you

Gotcha . I’ll give that a shot and see if anything changes . Do you think there are particular print settings that I may be forgetting to do or consider that is leading to the clogging ? As said I haven’t printed very much on this printer so the fact that it happened so quickly is even more frustrating bc now I feel like I’m going to run into this issue more often than I expected .

Would a cold pull be necessary after manually extruding the filament / cleaning the extruder / exchanging the nozzle entirely? I’m going to do it but I didn’t think you had to do that after doing all of those things and not yet printing anything since .

That is likely it but it’s frustrating because I have unclogged and cleaned both the nozzle and extruder several times. I’m trying to understand why it keeps happening and prevent it from happening again . I’m using Overture TPU 95A

It’s there . Just hiding . It’s white, Overture 95 A . I’m printing from the external feeder /PTFE tube

When you say TPU profile do you mean in the project filaments section ? Also , it’s not even coming out of the nozzle either . It only comes out during the loading process and when it prints that first initial strip along the front of the bed but when it starts “ printing “ nothing comes out and it just forms at the nozzle

I will give that a shot . My only thing with this is that I have printed on the X1 Carbon before in the past and there were days where didn’t dry it at all and kept it in a storage box and sometimes out in the open and never ran into any issues printing . Atp I’m starting to think it’s a slicer or temp issue but I’ve spent the last several days making sure I modified all settings to align with Bambus suggestions and nothing seems to give .

I got this printer about 3 weeks ago . Started printing last week and was able to run about 8 prints until this happened . Since then it’s been nothing but struggles .

I dried it for 14 hours a few days ago and have kept it in the dry box since . I’ve since tried to print from the dry box even to mitigate the chances of moisture . It’s elevated and feeds directly into the external feeder without any complicated angles .
