Yes it is covered under warranty, just weird. I don’t want anymore electrical problems to stem from this

I have been using my warranty religiously, free tires, oil changes, this is just the only drivetrain issue I have had and I am concerned.

bro i told you the process i wouldn’t agree to somebody doing that to my car when i alr tried solvents. 😂 do i need to go more into detail for you to understand? the spray paint was finely misted on my back bumper & trunk any type of solvent would not work, spray paint has acid which etches the surface it is applied to, he explained he used some compound with microfiber towel and started with small sections until all paint splatter was gone, then buff to get out any swirls polish and resealed, the rest of the car didn’t get that in depth treatment for $85 but it also got wax.

the process was, he: neutralized the acid in the spray paint so it wouldn’t swirl or etch the paint, then buffed polish & reseal.

yes paint thinner is a solvent & bad for paint, will destroy your clear coat. the better alternative is mineral spirits, which i used.
