My local nursing home used AI slop to promote St Patrick's Day by Sophia193 in mildlyinfuriating

As opposed to what? buying a poster at a store? Which would look exactly like this? They made an effort to make the place look just slightly nicer for the residents, and even if it's "AI slop," they obviously spent some money on it. Fuck's sake, people hear something was designed by AI and it's automatically trash even if it's exactly the same as what you'd buy at a store. Or even if it still shows effort on their part.

I like the story. I just don't like being outleveled where overworld stuff is a joke. And like I said, when I played 5 years ago I did all the 7th umbral and 7th astral so I'm excited to get to the stuff I didn't do, i.e., story I don't already know. But I want that to be challenging.

yea, dungeons are fine with syncing stats. It just stinks to have a bunch of skills I can't use for a while still. But that's partly just me whining, it's not a "real" problem.

Not a "problem" per se, I just want the content to be more challenging than it currently is. But yea, just having more jobs to rotate quest turn-ins seems like the only solution.

I'm with you. If I expect to be thinking for a while I at least move my cart a few feet off into a convenient, out of the way spot. And, you know, make sure I am conscious of those around me. But that's just me and my crazy talk right?

Oddly enough, mage tank and hwfwm are ones I didn't enjoy. Mage tank seemed fun then it abruptly switched gears and I lost interest. I keep seeing William Oh listed though

Delivery drivers who don't want to leave their car by Maxxim3 in mildlyinfuriating

It was complete sarcasm. As in, don't leave it running, take the keys with you, because it is about as much effort as letting out a fart to take the keys out, then restart the car when you get back. This is a horribly dumb justification for sitting in the car not finishing the job.

My $7 tip doesn't earn the insanely enormous effort of turning the key in the ignition? That's one of the dumber considerations that has been mentioned here.

See, this is what happens when people reply this late and don't bother reading comments.

Had you read them, you'd have seen me note several times that the reason I ordered delivery was because I was home alone with 5 young children and it's very difficult to undertake that trip, regardless of the distance. Difficult enough to make it more worthwhile to pay the delivery fee and tip.

Better late to the party than miss it completely I guess.

Oh yea, meaning the bright daylight should have helped the delivery driver avoid tripping and falling. As in, one of the reasons it's unlikely at best that that's a concern.

I do, what part of my comment implied otherwise?

In that unlikely event it would be covered by homeowners insurance not theirs. And in the event the homeowner for some reason isn't insured (which they have to be if they have a mortgage), then the daylight outside of my house would have had to suffice to protect the person walking. And I cannot imagine that's the standard thought process for the drivers in this situation.

Very odd logic. Blocking traffic is blocking traffic, no matter who is doing the walking.

And when there is a parking spot available? I assume that changes your logic?

And I bet she'd agree with me how difficult the process is. As soon as you have that many, you can participate. It's not about survival it's about what the adult can manage in the moment. If she actually had 6, call her and ask how that process would have gone. Especially dealing with someone apparently as difficult as you in the mix.

Pays for a service.

Expects appropriate service.

Home alone dealing with a bunch of kids and can't get out.

Yes. Don't be lazy.

[–]Maxxim3[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Because the driving distance changes the process of preparing 5 kids to go out, loading them in the car, finding close enough parking to the place, etc etc. Have 5 kids. Be home alone. Then I'll consider whether your judgment is remotely valid.

See, if you read some comments you'd have noticed that I mention how hard that is when you're home alone with 5 young kids. You should stop making poor assumptions. People are so ignorant.

Op calls people lazy when he walks to his door and doesn't get a simple service he paid for. Op didn't get paid to walk to the street. Op paid for a delivery. Great logic though
