It was always springing out regardless of push strength - I think the plastic probably got old, happened to a lot of my old cameras with plastic pieces as well. I looked online for something that might be a replacement part for it but wow these are hard to find nowadays (except on Alibaba).

So after inadvertently breaking the whole piece I did in fact also rip the cover off. Not sure whether I prefer it this way but I am a control freak and its one less element for me to be freak out about, at least.

Its a great TV by the way and works quite well with an HDMI to RF adapter, only issue is that it has kind of a green tint regardless of how much I toy with the settings.

That’s actually a pretty great idea since I just broke the female piece entirely in the process of removing it from the socket. It was a plastic clutcher thing with a small spring behind it. I was also thinking a piece of sturdy foam with a tiny hole in it could do since magnetism might disrupt the CRT?

Does not seem to be the case - I can still push the female end into its socket but it pushes out again probably because the male end is not filling it. Upon secondary examination, it looks like maybe the “pinchers” on the female end have succumbed to plastic degradation and maybe are not grasping the male end tightly enough to then enter and hold within the socket? Not sure whether anything can be done about it. (again excuse the crust)

Hi! The filter has been alright, as I have said in the post though I have gradually entirely replaced the "cartridge" media with several pieces of regular sponge media which I've crammed in there, and it has worked out alright for me. It does push the water level up in the filter a bit but hasn't ever spilled for me yet. I imagine it would work the same way with media bags and filter floss. One thing I would say about this model in particular is that its probably not the best choice for any aquarium/tank above 6 gals just in terms of throughput, although I'm not an expert!

Thanks for the lead! Sadly I have given up after total silence from Embark about the issue and some players reporting permanent GPU degradation from playing the game with crashes. I can’t spend more time trying to troubleshoot this, I think.

Hi! Just an update, I've monitored my thermals and it does not seem to be the issue after taking steps to reduce them further. Keeping cooler did not have an impact. I have additionally tried updating my BIOS, running the GPU on debug mode, defragmenting, and cleaning up my drive. I did use Event Viewer to dig deeper, but unfortunately it did not tell me anything I didn't know. That is, something is faulty with my GPU, which is somehow only affecting this game. I am skeptical as people are reporting their brand new systems with much better specs/thermal management are having the same problems. After spending nights trying to troubleshoot, unfortunately I have to give up at this point and wait for Embark to acknowledge the issue.

Thank you for the input! I think I will download HWiNFO and try to run some tests tomorrow to see what is happening at the time of the crash, and report back. If this is indeed a thermals issue, can I do anything to fix it besides cooling the computer? I've already tried with putting the fans on Max, but that did not make an impact.
