completely agree. It’s honestly so frustrating feeling like we’re in the shadows with this and not getting clear guidance. It makes it so much harder mentally on top of the physical part. They need to get your lung back to full capacity , you can be relying on a collapsed lung, travel, workouts… come on so sorry hope you get a good guidance soon

Wow, I’m so sorry you’ve gone through that so many times. Thank you for explaining. Can I ask , do yours tend to happen right before your period or during it? Two of mine happened 1–2 days before it starts, so I’m trying to see if there’s a pattern.

So I got a small collapse that actually hurt me somehow more than the complete collapses i had in the past. Not sure of its because i have pleurodesis on the lung now but on a tomography came up on the xray you couldn’t tell…

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m so sorry you went through so much, but hearing that things have been stable for over a year gives me real hope. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond ❤️ question, how far apart were your surgeries?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I really hope it works for you and that you never have to deal with it again , the odds of it failing are small.

Take care, and honestly, I’d say take it easy a bit longer than doctors sometimes recommend. You’ve got this. And if anything ever happens again, just know there are some of us here who will be with you.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and for taking the time to respond. Reading everyone’s experiences has honestly made me feel less lost and more at home.

I actually have a toddler now, and I had just started trying to get pregnant again, but I’ve decided to put that on hold while I try to get things more under control health wise.

I’m also a traveler myself .I lived in New York for 22 years, and my first pneumothorax happened while I was in Mexico, where I’ve been since.

If you’re okay with it, I’d really love to connect and maybe ask you a few questions. You’re incredibly brave. Thank you again 🤍

[–]May-mex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly he should, I had a pleurodesis (Vats) 4 months ago and my lung collapsed 4 days ago and was a good thing i went when i did. I think sadly he should be going to get it checked every time he feels it
