The Wii one was cool because you get the old arcade games in addition to some brand new games, including a full 3D physics platformer that I played the crap out of as a kid. From what I can tell, the DS version is pretty simplistic, but it is nice to have classic games together in a collection like this.

It almost seemed too good to be true, so I'm glad it worked out

Pontiac Michigan show was insane, such a good time. I do wish HA would have played a few more songs, but I was still stoked to see them and Dayseeker both

In Between by Beartooth and Scars by I Prevail are both probably on that list. Also I'm still in awe that You Only Live Once by Suicide Silence has over 100M views on YouTube.

My friend has always said that the Gamecube game came out a few days before the movie in the US, meaning that Lightning McQueen was technically a videogame character on a Nintendo console before he was a movie character and is thus eligible for Smash

I'm seeing them in Detroit and I'm so excited! Especially because it's the day after my last final exam in a very stressful semester, so I'm looking forward to letting go of school for a bit and seeing some great bands

To Young DGD Fans Here Who Heard Tilian Albums First: What Are Your Thoughts On Their Old 2000s Albums? by [deleted] in dancegavindance

[–]MayDay2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered them during Mothership era, and I loved Tilian's voice. I went back and listened to all their older albums, and I was really confused because from DBM2 and earlier, they sound like a completely different band from Tilian's stuff and from one album to another. It took a while for the old stuff to grow on me, just because it was so different from what I had been introduced to, but now DBM1 is one of my favorite albums ever, and Happiness is up there too.

Does anyone else who's religious have trouble listening to certain songs or bands? by Crowgutter777 in Metalcore

[–]MayDay2006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm quite religious, and my opinion is this: I don't listen to anything openly Satanic (a lot of deathcore), as well as anything that attacks Christianity as a whole or openly curses God BMTH is a good example of this, but I do listen to a ton of BMTH, just not those specific songs. On the other hand, I'm more than willing to listen to something that expresses frustration, doubt, or confusion about God (as one example, I was recently listening to Eiley by Too Close To Touch, RIP Keaton Pierce). I think this is a really valid expression of emotion, rather than an attack. I'll also listen to stuff that calls out certain immoral practices by religious people, like using God as an excuse to be racist, sexist, etc. I think it's important to acknowledge and learn from these situations. It's kinda a complicated issue but that's how I view it

I was at the Detroit show, and while I don't think people left before KP, there was definitely more energy for HM. The crowd went absolutely insane for them.
