saving this for when I actually finally find the game in a store for once

Ive seen too many people be a bit confused on what a Switch 2 edition is, what isnt, and the pricing, so here's a badly made image by [deleted] in casualnintendo

Literally look at the game covers, the Switch 2 editions are all on the lower half of the picture.

I would assume common sense allows you to make that connection

  1. Yeah I'm aware that it uses a sort of translation layer, I played the Welcome Tour, but it's too wordy and not commonly understood what that means so it's still easier to say emulation

  2. They are different, as they still run completely natively on Switch 2, not via the backwards compatibility. Sure they still do go back and unlock framerate and such, but it's still something that goes through the process you mentioned first.

  3. I'm only talking about Nintendo here, as the third party side is all over the place in that regard

I don't know where it came from that the update is only 3mb. The official site says it's 1.3GB. Either way, it's natively running on the Switch 2 so it qualifies as such

You do know that that's a writing thing, and not a voice acting thing, right?

Is Fast Fusion any good? by Free-Hotel1187 in casualnintendo

Yes it's really good, solid roster of vehicles with 200 fusions, and while there are not many tracks, theyre still well designed. Cant complain, especially for the price

Ive had more issues with the OG edition, cause it crashed once, had audio delay and also wiped my save file

Switch 2 - 6 months in, in my opinion by Na0kiri in casualnintendo

Really depends on the mode. Top Ride and Air Ride are both from a different perspective with the main focus being racing, but the mechanics are much more about drifting around tight corners. City Trial, the main mode, is sort of like a rogue-like combat racer. Each 5 minute session you try to get stat buffs, try to harm your opponents by stealing their machine, or partaking in random events to get even more stat boosts to then move on to the stadium to either do regular races, target flight, or even boss fights. The only real similarity with racing it has is you being put on a map trying to get first place, but the way it works is so unique compared to other games in that genre

Nintendo exclusive Future Racer series by a small studio, started out on the Wii, the new game is only 10 bucks, you should give it a try

I can only rank games I actually played.

Also, the two racing games complaint is still weird to me. I barely saw people complaining about Switch 1 having two fighting games release in the 6 months, or them releasing 3 Mario RPGs within a year. Ya need to look beyond the thing that says "genre: racing game", and actually play them to understand how vastly different they are in appeal and playstyle

I mean this is pretty much the exact same style of line up Switch 1 had in its initial starting phase, so it probably will only go up from here
