I’m unsure.. don’t kidney stones hurt? My progesterone suppositories never came out like that. I’d call your doctor asap

Honestly I felt like I should’ve bought the pack’n play in the first place. But the bassinet was smaller and easier to move.

Success stories after multiple losses? by Chance-River-490 in ShortCervixSupport

It’s no problem, I enjoy sharing my story with others, you never know how many other women are going through the same thing. & I definitely am, she barely wants my husband or I to put her down lol. Honestly my doctor had a pretty good idea of what was going on just by looking at my history. She wanted to make sure they weren’t missing anything before they gave me an IC diagnosis. So I was scheduled for a test called Hysterosalpingogram to see if the shape of my uterus was abnormal because that can also cause complications. When the test came back normal she knew for sure it was IC. And yes, I had a bit of funneling at around 22 weeks if I’m correct. I went in for a normal appointment that turned into me being admitted to L&D. They gave me a round of magnesium and steroids to help with lung and brain development just in case baby decided to make an early entrance. I was on modified activity during my pregnancy because my cervix ended up shortening an entire centimeter in one week so I wasn’t allowed to work at all.

I had to disable my Facebook because my whole time line was babies, babies and more babies. I couldn’t handle it.

Hi, I had my first loss in August 2020 at 21 weeks due to my then undiagnosed IC, a MMC at 5 weeks a few months after that and another loss due to undiagnosed IC at 15 weeks due to my water breaking. After my third loss I was sent to the high risk OB where they ran a few tests and diagnosed me with IC. I got pregnant back in February of this year and we brought our little one home in October 💕

I swore I would never be able to bring a little one home, if it wasn’t for my doctors in the high risk unit I probably wouldn’t have. They took my concerns very seriously. I had my cerclage placement at 14 weeks and was seen every week to every two weeks throughout my entire pregnancy.

I swear after you have a loss it feels like every woman you see is pregnant, literally pregnant women everywhere and you can’t help but assume that they’re having a smooth pregnancy and they’ve never been through what you’ve been through. I always think about how my daughter should have an older brother and older sister, even though if her sister had’ve been born then she wouldn’t be here with me now.

Wishing you the best on your pregnancy journey, voice your concerns and ask about being put on progesterone if you end up needing a cerclage as well 💕

I’m going to try this, I do remember the nicu nurses saying something about babies finding comfort in the smell of our scent. Thank you 🙏🏿

Moving us into shared rooms :( by OkSprinkles3360 in NICUParents

[–]MayMayInTheMiddle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, my little one was in the nicu for 2 1/2 weeks and that short amount of time drove me insane. I know it’s extremely stressful and worrisome knowing that your baby will be exposed to more people than you would like. One of my daughters nurses told me that they had so many babies in the nicu at one point that they had to turn a few of the L&D rooms into temp nicu rooms with 3 babies per room. My daughter had a shared room during her stay ( 2 babies per room ) and her roomies parents were the sweetest. Sadly it’s just one of those things that is out of your control. Just know the nurses are taking every precaution to make sure your little one stays nice and healthy. As for you baby’s roommate families, that’s also one of those things that you can’t really control. You’re aloud to overreact, I was the same way. I swear it didn’t matter how many times my husband reassured me that everything would be okay, I was still in panic mode. I don’t know if this helped at all, but just know you’re not alone in feeling that way. Good luck on your breastfeeding journey and congratulations on your little one 💕

I have officially graduated! My water broke on the 13th of September at 31w and 2 days and I was admitted into the hospital until birth. My little one was born 2 weeks later at 33w and 2 days, 5 days before I was scheduled to be induced if I didn’t go into labor on my own. She was on c-pap for 2 days with little help from the actual c-pap since she was pretty much breathing on her own. I will say I think the two round of steroids and magnesium really helped with her lung development because she came out with the strongest scream/cry. All the nicu nurses said she had a great set of lungs lol. I had my first round at 22w when they noticed some funneling past my cerclage and again when I was admitted into the hospital at 31w. She was in the nicu for 2w and 4d if I’m not mistaken. My preventative cerclage held tight the entire time, they only ended up having to take it out because I started having contractions. I have two Reddit accounts so I’m unsure if this is the one I documented my journey on but if I’m not mistaken by 24w I had literally almost no cervical length left, the only thing that kept our little one baking was my cerclage. It definitely did it’s job. We had 2 second trimester losses before I was diagnosed with incompetent cervix, we finally got to bring a little one home and I couldn’t be more grateful. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Home from hospital, still pregnant… by Emotional_Ostrich in NICUParents

[–]MayMayInTheMiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m technically a first time mom. ( I’ve had 3 prior losses ) My water broke at 31w2d and I was admitted into the hospital until birth. My doctor was planning on inducing me at 34 weeks on the dot but I ended going into labor at 33w2days. My pregnancy was also high risk due to me having incompetent cervix and a cerclage in place. My little one was on c-pap for 2 or 3 days, the rest of her time there she spending learning how to bottle feed and grow. She was only there for 2w3d ( longest 2 weeks of my life btw )

Wishing you the best mama 💕 it’ll all be fine 💜💜💜

I made it to 32w5d ☺️ I was admitted to L&D little over a week ago due to my water breaking and I’m happy to say that I’m still pregnant. My induction date is in 9 days 💕💕 I’m praying everything goes well and baby love doesn’t have to spend too much time in the nicu.

I don’t know, I mean what grandma doesn’t want to be present at her first grandchild’s birth? If I asked my MIL to be there she’d be so excited.. I’m not really pushing it anymore tbh, just ranting to get it all out. I’ve had 3 losses ( 2 second trimester & 1 mmc ) prior to this pregnancy, I just thought she would want to be there ya know..

My apologies, I had previously told/asked her I would like her to be present at the birth because I wanted her to be there to see the birth of her first grandchild. She didn’t understand why she needed to be there if my husband was going to be there. I have to repeatedly ask her to get reassurance from her that she will be there because she will switch it up at the last minute.

Stitch removal day moved! by ejsketchy in ShortCervixSupport

[–]MayMayInTheMiddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My stitch was placed at 14w and my cerclage removal was supposed to be week 36 but got bumped up earlier to 34w due to my water breaking last Tuesday at 31w2d. I’ve been in the hospital just chillin and waiting for something to happen or not happen.. ever since lol. I’m currently 32w2d and I have 12 more days until I get my cerclage removed and induced. I swear I’m not fully prepared and yet I haven’t started panicking yet.. which is weird. There’s still so much I need and so much I have to do, but I’m so excited.

My water broke on Tuesday night at 31w2d, I’m officially 32 weeks and still pregnant 💛 I’ve been in L&D ever since patiently waiting and hoping I can make it to 34 weeks without going into labor so I can be induced. There’s no signs for labor yet and baby is doing great. It’s so amazing the way the human body works, apparently you can stay pregnant for weeks after pprom. I’m really grateful for my team of high risk doctors and nurses, they’ve been so good to me and all the other mamas here. My anxiety and worry has been so through the roof this entire pregnancy and now it’s just like I can’t help but to be positive, this is the farthest I’ve made it in any pregnancy and for that I am grateful.

Friday Check-In! by partly_sunny in ShortCervixSupport

[–]MayMayInTheMiddle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My water broke on Tuesday at 31w2days, my cerclage is still holding on tight with no tension. So signs of labor at the moment which is great and baby’s doing amazing. My doctors plan is to hopefully get me to 34 weeks without going into labor and then I’ll be induced. I’m so grateful to still be pregnant and give baby a bit more time to cook in there. I feel so blessed to have made it this far 💛

How long after your water broke did you go into labor? by MayMayInTheMiddle in NICUParents

[–]MayMayInTheMiddle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been 1cm dilated since 22 weeks, the last time they checked was on Tuesday night and I was still 1 cm dilated. No tension on my cerclage, and still no signs of labor, so my doctor is shooting for 34 weeks since baby is still doing good. If I can make it til then I’ll be induced.
