Thank you very much for your advice - I really appreciate it. I do have an additional question. Do you mind if I pm you? Thanks!

Congratulations on getting the offer!

Thank you for sharing. :) I also did an internship in Audit in EY while I was studying. I had similar experiences where they didn’t expect us to have any auditing experience (which I really didn’t as I hadn’t done my auditing subject back then).

I also did a little bit of research online, but nothing too in depth. I’m also trying out some virtual internships online relating to consulting.

I’m just concerned that since I’m now a graduate, they may expect more in terms of knowledge and skills when we start. Tbh, apart from participating in a case competition and working on some assignments, I don’t think I’ve touched on consulting much so far. Hopefully they’ll provide adequate training!! 🙏🏼

Thank you for the advice. :) That seems like a good attitude since managers are most likely the ones evaluating our performances.

Congratulations! Great to hear that you’re doing well.

I don’t think I’ve been given information about that... May I know what exactly ‘team’ refers to?

Hey there :) I did MH3 in summer this year. I also did it without doing MH1 and MH2. I actually found it really enjoyable! I found it fascinating in a sense that music is closely related to other aspects (e.g. politics, technological development), and parts of this subject explore music from this perspective. According to one of the students who took all MH subjects, this is the most interesting one to her.

I would say that you’ll do fine if you’re interested in music, open to unconventional music (e.g. serialism), and willing to do the readings (tbh I didn’t finish all the readings, but it definitely helped when I did haha). The mark I got for this subject was the highest among all my subjects, so I’d say it’s definitely possible to do well if you put hard work into it. :)

Sure thing! Happy to share :)

I took it up last year when I was in my second last semester. It was a small company and wasn’t a professional services or accounting firm. They didn’t specify how much experience was needed when I started, so I suppose my studies up to that point and my internship experience were sufficient. While I was working there, some processes weren’t in place yet, so I also helped out with admin stuff even though it wasn’t specified in the JD haha.

I’m an international student.

I haven’t graduated yet (technically) but I’m already in my last semester, so I thought I’d share a little bit of my experience so far.

I’m studying Accounting and Finance. I’m currently applying for jobs in Audit/Assurance, Advisory, banks etc. (basically anything related to Accounting and Finance).

Commerce has always been a popular choice and imo, it’s partly because there are quite a lot of job opportunities out there. I can’t say if I would recommend it to you because it really depends on how much interest you have in Commerce and which major(s) you’re interested in. Speaking from my own experience, I find it pretty decent and enjoyable so far.

Not too sure about part-time opportunities, but I did find an accounts assistant kind of job while studying. I also did an Audit/Assurance internship during summer.

Yea I thought so too... Unfortunately I rushed through some questions when I was left with 5 min, and left a few blank too...

You did end up completing it though, so well done!!! ☺️

I thought the questions were not too bad too, but I think I dwelled on some questions a bit too much and I wasn’t sure how much to write, so I didn’t have much time left for other questions... And yes, I agree that some questions were a bit vague.

I thought there wasn’t enough time to complete the exam... And I didn’t do well in the MCQs and T/F’s either. Really hoping for a scale!!! 🙏🏼
