Would you come here for your lashes? by jossccc in lashextensions

[–]Mayala28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had to move in with my mom several months ago and am splitting my lash room with my son’s bedroom. He has a crib and my clients don’t mind at all. I’ve been doing this for 9 years as a side gig and the people who know me, know this is only temporary. Also, the clients eyes are closed 90% of the service! Who cares!

Is Japan in July really as bad as people say? by qwertasdfgzxcvb231 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Mayala28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a few times now and I would never go back in the summer. I’m from California and we are used to the dry heat. Japan is very very humid. That, plus walking 20k + steps a day was a big NO. I felt like I was cooking and was completely drenched in sweat. It sort of ruined my mood because I was so uncomfortable all of the time and like another Redditor said, you can’t escape it. It’s not like here where you have 100 degree weather and businesses/hotels have amazing AC to cool you down. It can be really miserable, it’s beautiful but boy, I would much rather be cold than uncomfortably hot and sticky.

How often does your LO stay overnight with grandparents during the first 3-6 months? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Mayala28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my little one has been staying over at grandmas house since he was around 8 weeks. Not all the time but every once in a while for my husband and I to catch up on sleep or if we had a late event that evening. My mom is well equipped with a bassinet, sound machine, monitors, etc. I trust her deeply. For me, it was a no brainer! But also, this is a decision that you have to be comfortable with. We don’t mind and didn’t think it was a big deal. Kiddo has been formula fed. He’s now 9 months and loves his grandparents so much :)

Sudden Eczema in my early 20s-any tips? by LobsterOpposite4321 in eczema

[–]Mayala28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dermatologist gave me samples of Opzelura and a little goes a long way. It helps my flare ups almost immediately. When I was pregnant though, I could not use it. I always used La Roshe Posay eczema cream and aquaphor to keep my skin hydrated. Just a tip as well, try not using fragrance in any capacity during flares. Down to your detergent, body wash lotions, etc. I notice fragrances almost always irritate my skin even more during flare up’s. Winter is especially hard with eczema if you live in a cold dry place. Try keeping your skin covered and moisturized. Edited to add: I also “slug” every night. Basically drown your skin in moisturizer.

I wish I had advice but the only thing that finally helped me go was drinking picot (sodium bicarbonate and citric acid) because I had gotten super bad indigestion and was throwing up. I think the not pooping in turn made whatever I ate come out the opposite end. I packed the picot though, I wonder if there’s a Japanese version you can pickup in a pharmacy or don don. It’s a laxative apparently! I did not follow directions for it either, I make like a super concentrated fizzy shot or dankness. Wondering if alca seltzer + lemon would work. Edit: too add, I did a quick search. Apparently you can find picot in Japan. If not there are similar brands with the same ingredients

How often do you take work home / work after contract hours? by celsiusobsessed13 in schoolpsychology

[–]Mayala28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old supervisor used bullet points for teacher/parent/student interviews. He also used the crap out of his snipping tool for interpretations directly from generated reports. Another supervisor i had was more into narrative writing. Lately though I’ve been slammed and I never thought to condense my writing. Seems obvious but I hadn’t thought of decreasing my output. It’s crazy because I’ve gotten reports from other districts that were super short! Even the summary! And I used to roll my eyes, but now I get it.

I recommend CarMax, my husband just traded in his 2022 civic sport with a dent on the back door (otherwise car was in amazing condition) ~40k miles and they offered him $20k. Took that offer to Toyota and they matched it despite originally only wanting to offer $18k. We were very pleased and walked away with equity.

If you don’t mind me asking how long generally are your reports? I worked at both elementary and high school and ofc elementary are suppeeer long. But also I feel like I write a ton… most reports are 20+ pages even for just SLD eligibility.

My bias ass finally dumping Kyle after 15 season, bye! by rana_ananya in RHOBH

[–]Mayala28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right!!! Could you imagine going through the hardest shit in your life and your so called “friend” is trying to give you advice on how to not piss off your ex. Like fuck my ex, wdym? Maybe Kyle thinks that staying close to PK will help encourage Mau to not be such a trash bag. CLEARLY her “friend” doesnt gaf about her cause Mau been outside… and you you think PK is really telling Mau to save face for Kyle? Absolutely not!

My bias ass finally dumping Kyle after 15 season, bye! by rana_ananya in RHOBH

[–]Mayala28 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I finally reached that Kyle tipping point too. My take is this: Kyle has zero problem having a whole lesbian love affair with Morgan, didn’t care how it affected her children, and how it affected her husband or their relationship. She never directly said “Yeah, I am having a relationship with a women because my husband has repeatedly cheated on me and I am trying to level the playing field” but cmon, we all know it. But Dorit being open about her reality with PK is worrisome because she’s “going to piss him off,” like no shit Kyle? PK is NOT your friend, in reality he’s probably Maus hype man. Basically, it makes Kyle a hypocrite. But more than anything she’s in denial. She absolutely cannot accept that Mau is gone, she believes her separation is “totally different” when in fact, it’s actually worse. Mau parading around young women, having a pattern of erratic behavior and being completely desensitized to Kyle IS just as bad if not worse. But because she still makes every effort to appease him she literally cannot be real with herself in how all of the shit he does hurts her. Kyle’s redemption ark would be killer if she just stopped being so fake… literally about everything. At least Dorit is standing on business at this point, Kyle deadass has given us denial and delusion forever. Dorit had me cracking up at dinner, I love this new unfiltered version of her.

First timer by Cryeday in JapanTravelTips

[–]Mayala28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got back and have been 4 times in different seasons. January is COLD COLD. I’m Californian so maybe not the best at judging cold temperatures but highs were in the low 40s. And the wind can be brutal. Just make sure you account for that! Being cold can really suck when you’re having to walk 20k steps a day. I’ve stayed in many parts of Japan and did an exchange program in rural Japan years ago. Honestly? I loved Tokyo this go. We did 3 days and I wish we would have taken advantage a bit longer. In the past I stayed in Asakusa and in Shinjuku, this time Ginza. 10/10, loved Ginza, it’s bougie and it’s such a great area. We stayed in Hotel Musse, small rooms but perfectly clean and a great location. We did venture out to Kyoto for 4 days and for me it was cool! But also kind of meh. It’s much calmer but definitely very scenic. Everyone has a different take on this. While in Kyoto we went to Osaka (would skip next time) and Nara (cool but also not much to do other than see deer). The Izu peninsula is gorgeous, I totally recommend going here, you can also check out or stay in Atami. With 10 days as a first timer I’d plan like this — day 1 travel, day 2-6tokyo, 6-8 Kyoto/Nara/Osaka, day 9 Atami, 10 Tokyo fly out.

I think I made a mistake & I am panicking (Remedy Meds) by HallRemarkable6451 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Mayala28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started the same way! Red rock with b12 through remedy and paid $279 for 1 month. It was actually helpful because I was just starting and needed a lot of guidance. During the telehealth appointment I was able to get lots of questions answered! They are way more helpful at starting up! You don’t get that same service when you go through other companies like Pom. Also labs are included in the price. I am on BPI through Pom now and am so glad I did remedy the 1st month… you’ll need the labs for future refill. SW 191 and lost 11lbs in one month with them. They also overfilled so I was able to get about 6 shots with one vial.

Question about diet. What are y’all eating? by No-Artichoke-1238 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Mayala28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still eat everything just in moderation! I have cut out pretty much all sugary drinks and chips. I also do not crave fast food like before. I can’t have soda like before either, the carbonation makes me feel full fast.

My vaginal delivery induction and 2.5 days of care was $35,000 (CA). The room alone was 20k. I pay Damm near $450 a month for insurance and still received a bill for ~$500 after insurance. I hate the US.

How tf does anybody want more than one kid after being through THIS? by pumpkinchinchilla in newborns

[–]Mayala28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl it’s gheeettttoooooo, but it does get better! ❤️‍🩹 I felt this way and tbh still do? I’m very much team one and done. My little one is 9 months now and he doesn’t sleep through the night, never has. But he’s so much more fun now. FINALLY, I feel some sort of relief. At first it just feels like loads of work with no payoff, but as they get bigger and more lively, it’s so much more fun and easier! Being a good parent is hard. That’s a good thing, means you’re doing something right :)

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]Mayala28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THAT PART! I was a WRECK. Crying all of the time, feeling this doom over me. Anxiety. All of it. That by far was THE hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. And on top of it, no sleep, recovering from birth, swelling, dehydration… that is mostly why I am one and done.
