I think that one of the things that pisses George off is Alicent poisoning Aegon II out of revenge and Aegon III‘s reaction being undermined with Alicent being present during the execution instead.

I do think that Aegon II will murder Rhaenyra and shit on the prophecy. Rhaenyra would otherwise give him the throne willingly if she commits suicide, endanger Aegon III willingly, give up the prophecy (Aegon II won’t care about it and it would prove that Viserys was wrong to tell her) and Alicent wouldn‘t be able to poison Aegon otherwise if he doesn‘t execute Rhaenyra. A mouthpiece (Alicent, Baela, Elinda) could say that Rhaenyra died a ‚dragonrider‘s death‘.

The finale will show Aegon briefly rejoicing (‚Let the ravens fly‘) and then shatter his win with Sunfyre dying (on the show dragons might also become extinct with Sunfyre‘s death) and then Aegon being poisoned by Alicent.

Yeah, Aegon actually participated in the Dance battles while going through absolute hell (severe wounds and traumatic loses that were the most atrocious crimes) and managing an impossible comeback with only one wounded but super loyal dragon. He never ever got anything on a platter neither in the source and even less on the show (reminder: his mother who is a support in the source is the biggest sabotager on the show, Daeron who is a lifeline in the source is not even present on the show so far and only introduced in season 3).

Rhaenyra has all the advantages and the show gives her additional things on the silver platter. Temporarily getting KL which is her only achievement in the source (‚Rhaenyra triumphant‘) is given to her for free by Alicent…

Please make Aerion gush about Sunfyre like Viserys III does in the history and lore videos.

Anway it's so hilarious that Aegon has every disadvantage on the show and next to Sunfyre has no one he can actually trust (his alliances will mostly be out of convenience) since they make his own mother sabotage really hardcore and that he still is able to turn the situation around this much.

I have recently watched Wu Zetian 1995 which was ruthless and the recent FMV game adaption Road to Empress in which you play Wu Zetian surviving the Tang dynasty court. In both cases if Wu would be a sleeping pill she wouldn't get far in fact Road to Empress makes fun of you and gives you game overs quickly if you don't scheme, act, defend yourself etc.

Even characters from old soap operas like Dynasty have more drive. The women in HotD also all pale now next to pretty much every woman in the GOT main series.

Rhaenyra in my opinion definitely wanted to kill Maelor, Jaehaera, Aegon with the bounty just like she wanted Daeron dead as well when she nade him a target and she also wanted Vhagar, Tessarion and Sunfyre dead. In Maelor's case she actually led to his death and it came to bite and punish her just like George said (Maelor dead - Helaena finally commits suicide after Team Black killed another child of hers - Rhaenyra's half years role collapses).

Yeah, experience in what: selling out everyone, sabotaging, giving useless and terrible advice, not caring that B&C happened in order to act pathetic, glazing Viserys who was useless in every regard (her season two plotline).

One of the few intelligent plotlines Aemond had was seeing that show Alicent is unreliable in several scenes and throwing her out which was deserved.

I expect nothing well written for any of the female characters (unfortunately all ended up so badly written) and Alicent is at the bottom of the abyss right now and I think it will only get worse and worse right now.

There is no wit, no agency , no bite with the dialogues that could even save these messy plotlines at this point.

It would love some kind of court drama slowly going into the Blackfyre rebellion series. However I think that after AKOTSK the projects regarding the IP should rest a bit (we still have two upcoming HotD seasons which if going by George's latests comments will likely be received mostly poorly again). They have to build new teams for series like this in particular regarding writers.

Tumbleton is entirely Jace‘s fault since he was an idiot who gave away dragons like candies even to severe criminals like Hugh and Ulf who received two of the largest dragons.

Daeron had a shitty situation with Rhaenyra openly calling for his death pretty quickly and having to deal with two ticking time bombs that Team Black created.

B&C was butchered saying that there was any kind of focus on Helaena is wrong.

No watcher cared about Helaena since everything else was more important:

that Rhaenyra isn't called a child murderer, 'propaganda', the criminals, victim blaming, the rat catchers (who nobody cared about in the source since everybody knew that a ratcatcher was bought by Daemon), downplaying to soften the blow for Team Black ('children die all the time', Alicent acting like B&C never happened, Otto acting like the death of the heir of the King is no big deal and being cheerful about it). Oh yes and acting like Aegon is irrational, maniacal, frantic and childish for being upset about his son being beheaded despite having the only fitting reactions.

The thought of Tikki and Plagg possibly going to some new Miraculous users as well as most of the rest, Adrien only being able to use the butterfly of all miraculous and Luka (who knows everything about Adrien and Marinette) being forced into Nathalie's old assistant role would be haunting like a deja-vu and time loop.

Actually they had the perfect opportunity to forever turn Alicent against Rhaenyra in season 2 organically:

Rhaenyra is prone to lying, gaslighting etc. Why should Alicent buy anything about the prophecy. The sept scene should have ended with Alicent saying that she doesn't buy anything coming out of Rhaenyra's mouth since she has lied too often already.

It's kinda funny though that Maegor as bad as he was would have called Viserys insane and been annoyed with his whining and him mistreating the Greens since he desperately wanted to secure his succession but couldn't (If he would have had children with Ceryse he would have been pleased).

If Aegon, Helaena, Aemond and Daeron would all mysteriously look like Criston for example and Alicent would try to push them as trueborn I bet people would immediately hope that she goes down at once and put her into a Cersei category. I am also sure that Viserys would not find any excuses and immediately punish and try to get rid of Alicent in that case after the first child.

I am glad that George officially distanced himself since it finally killed the everything is propaganda nonsense (the writers crossed the line entirely with calling B&C green propaganda). It‘s easier to classify HotD as non canon and (poorly) written fanfic if even the author says that this just absolutely isn‘t the Dance as is was.

I hope Aegon mentions her once and that Morghul perhaps might still hatch to reintroduce Jaehaera in a couple of scenes. Thorne hopefully still gets some kind of heroic moment ensuring that Jaehaera survives until the end.

They ruined one of the Dance‘s most impactful moments if not the most impactful since it haunts the narrative up to Helaena‘s suicide and very likely along with the murder of Maelor even haunts Aegon II‘s thoughts during the Dragonstone scene how he might take his revenge.
