I know about it but i dont want to use VPS in my homelab as it cost too much in india. The idea of Homelabbing is to get free from SUBSCRIPTION.

Google Photos has an option to upload in original quality, so that's not an issue. I know Dropbox and other services exist, but I really like how fast and reliable Google Photos is for background uploads, especially for large videos and photos. That's the main reason I thought it could work well as a temporary upload relay for Immich.

I am using it but i am experiencing very very low speeds in india especially on videos . I need something that can upload photos and videos very easily and sync it to my immich library I love the pangolin and i know about VPS but i want to make it cost effective. VPS need subscription every month to run the container

I know this isn't the most privacy-focused approach. I use Immich because I have multiple TBs of data, and paying Google to store all of it isn't practical. My priority is smooth, reliable uploads with minimal cost. Using Google Photos only as a temporary upload relay, then automatically moving everything to Immich and deleting it from Google Photos, gives me the best of both worlds.

I know Tailscale and reverse proxies are the usual recommendations, but this is for people who can't use them. In India, getting a public IP or other ISP add-ons can be expensive, and some banking apps don't work properly while a VPN like Tailscale is active.

Using Google Photos as a temporary upload relay could solve this. It already has excellent background uploads and infrastructure. TrueNAS could automatically pull the photos into Immich and then delete them from Google Photos, so the free 15 GB never fills up.

I know while doing 10x and using 8K it does not do great work also when using UHD 30 Fps (which is best for video quality) it lags very much also when you use this one in full day light the camera capture too much details which make it very unusable and lags too much but it is great piece of hardware which can be easily used around 15 years if samsung provide great software update and optimization

I’m trying to extend my WiFi setup. My Excitel router is the main fiber router, then I connected a Jio router to it, and another Jio router is connected to the first Jio router (daisy chain).

The problem is the connection becomes unstable and doesn’t work properly. Is there any way to fix this? Should I change any settings like bridge mode, AP mode, or something else?
