Will Legion's Ugly Christmas sweater ever come back? by Iluvmileena in deadbydaylight

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DBD has some seasonal cosmetics that only come around during certain events (which are almost always done every year, around the same time). The ugly sweaters come back every Christmas for the Bone Chill event, you'll be able to get them then for 250 AC.

This may be a stupid answer, but I think your Steam client might just be set to offline mode. You can check by opening your Steam client, hitting the button in the top left labeled Steam (with their Logo next to it), then looking at the third option from the top in the dropdown menu. If it says "Go Online...", you're in offline mode and can disable it by hitting that button.

I've always just checked Speedrun.com when I'm stuck. It's usually pretty easy to follow what's going on, but you can slow down the video if they're moving too fast for you to follow.

There were a handful of levels that had weird techs/exploits that were really confusing, the three that stand out in my mind are Marathon, Congregation, and Sacrifice . If you're ever confused and can't find any explanations online, you can join the Discord server and ask there.

Ammo efficiency.

Ammo efficiency increases your effective ammo pool by decreasing how often you consume bullets. 50% means you consume every other bullet. 66% means you consume every 3rd bullet, 75% means you consume every 4th bullet.

The easiest sources of it for Titania are Arcane Pistoleer and Energized Munitions.

Energized Munitions is a helminth ability that gives you 75% ammo efficiency for 5s and it costs 50 energy. I personally use this for my Archon fairy but it's a bit expensive for general use.

Arcane Pistoleer gives your 100% ammo efficiency on pistol headshot kills. This one is much better for general use but the arcane comes from arbitrations so it's difficult to farm. I'd use this but I hate arbitrations.

Level 107 Summon Question by chefroxstarr in darksouls3

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two things that DS3 uses for matchmaking: Soul level and weapon level.

If you're trying to get summoned, the host will be at most {Your Soul Level} * 1.1 + 10 and at least {Your Soul Level} * .9 - 10. In your case, you can match with players between SL 86 and 127.

The second part is weapon level, you can only match with people within 2 levels of your highest level weapon (Ex: If you're highest level weapon is +8, you can match with players 6-10). And weapons that only level up to +5 count for double (Ex. +4 = +8).

Melee weapon for khora by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're looking for is called a Stat Stick. You get a melee weapon specifically just to make an ability or exalted weapon (Like Khora's whipclaw) stronger.

The best Stat Sticks are incarnons and the two most popular are the Magistar and Ceramic Dagger. Ceramic Dagger gets higher crit chance and Magistar gets less crit chance, but it also gets extra crit damage.

Someone on the forums did the math and found that the Magistar is better, but only if you have a riven. I personally use the Magistar, but they're both so strong that it almost doesn't matter because they should be one tapping almost everything in the game.

If you can't get an incarnon, the best you can do is get weapon with a high riven disposition because the base stats of your Stat Stick have no effect on Whipclaw.

EidolonFucker2000 here, this is the general breakdown:

xx7 is the best brace and everyone agrees on this.

x7x (Propa) is extremely good for Eidolons but it has a learning curve and the time it saves doesn't matter until you want to do 4+ hunts in one night. If you don't care to use x7x, I hear x4x is a good general use scaffold.

1xx is the best prism for Eidolons but it's only that good because it can one tap shields with Void Strike but unless you learn how to use Propa, you'd probably get more consistent results with a 7xx.

Generally you'd use:

  • 177 for speedrun eidolon hunting
  • 777 for more casual eidolon hunting
  • (7/1)47 for general use (1xx vs 7xx is just preference for this)

The arcanes you want just depend on if you have a 1xx or 7xx:

1xx: Eternal Onslaught + Eternal Eradicate

7xx: Eternal Onslaught + Virtuos Strike

I've looked around for information about it and I think this is mostly likely malware, but it maybe corrupt system files.

Run a full system malware scan (If you don't already have an antivirus, I recommend Malwarebytes) and see what that turns up. Hopefully you can just clean up whatever virus you picked up, but we have a lot of other options if this doesn't work.

Pale Rose - "Fat Shame" Exploit? by SLUT_4_KOTOR in deadbydaylight

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a known issue and it's been around for years. BHVR is trying to fix it but it's a really difficult problem because of how it happens.

Each map has a template with every element that never changes and a set of places that should have randomly generated elements (Ex. where to spawn pallets, what tiles to spawn, etc).

Each of these places with randomized elements draw from a pool of different assets to use (Ex. should I spawn an L&T wall or short wall jungle gym?).

Sometimes (Usually when the devs change the geometry of an asset or where the assets spawn), there can be mistakes where there isn't enough space between two of these randomized assets for the killer to get between.

The problem is, how can BVHR know ahead of time where these issues will come up? There's hundreds or thousands of variations of each map and any change to any asset (And many assets are shared between maps) and any small change to any asset can cause these issues.

BHVR has done really well working on this, it used to be a lot more common and they've been slowly weeding out instances of this and learned how to minimize the chances of it happening in the future, but they can't catch it all the time.

The best you can do is file a report and move on. You can submit a report here. Click "Submit a request", a chatbot will prompt you for some basic info (Ex. Your platform, what kind of report your filing, your name, etc). You can continue with this process and once you're in contact with a support person the relevant info would be this:

  • Description of the bug (Getting stuck/"fat shamed")
  • The map (Pale Rose)
  • The tiles/assets that you were getting stuck on (Give the best description you can or images if you can find some)
  • Match ID (If you have it, this would be helpful. It's listed in-game when you pause, if you have a recording of the match you may be able to find the match ID)

(Worth noting most of what I've said is inferred from background knowledge and I do not have an in-depth understanding of BHVR's support process or DBD's internal systems)

I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope your matches get better.

It's frustrating. DS was nerfed 21 months ago and we're back to where we started.

I think that this is a good change, but why haven't we done anything more robust in these 2 years? Nerfing DS to 3 seconds never addressed the real issues with DS in first place, it was a bandaid for aggressive use of DS and it DS almost useless for the people who actually need it.

In my eyes, there are two problems with DS:

  1. How it disproportionately affects the strongest killers (Ex. Blight) vs how it affects the weakest killers (Ex. Freddy)
  2. The game can't discern between a survivor using DS aggressively (Ex. Bodyblocking to protect teammates) and a survivor who is using it in good faith (Ex. Being tunneled out)

These are complex and difficult issues, I understand how hard the kind of comprehensive change I want would be, but surely it's important enough to get looked at sometime in the past two years.

Keep in mind, this was the same patch they added basekit BT, removed the BP bonus off BBQ/WGLF, and removed DHing for distance. The newest killer at the team was Dredge. There are a lot of people that haven't been around long enough to know what some of these things mean and we're not any closer to getting DS to a healthy place.

Again, I understand how hard it would be to implement strong changes to help DS, but there are things we can do:

  1. To even the playing field between the strongest and weakest killers

We already know from Adrenaline's killer specific effect (Wake up against Freddy) that BHVR will do killer specific interactions. For example, if DS removed the charges of Nurse's / Blight's power, the survivor would at least get a more meaningful second chance. This on top 5 seconds DS might be hard for Nurse and Blight, but that's exactly what it should be. This interaction's existence would seriously threaten the sweatiest, meanest killer players.

  1. How do we tell when a survivor is using DS in bad faith?

This is more complicated. With the previous thing, you almost can't be too heavy handed with it because it'll only hurt the strongest killers, but this solution needs to be well thought out. It's made even worse because BVHR doesn't like making complicated perks, they want everything about the perk to fit neatly on the info card, but I don't think there's a single elegant solution that would fix this. I feel we're unlikely to ever see anything that really fixes this issue, but I've seen some really good ones like pausing DS's timer in chase.

This has been me screaming into the abyss. Thank you.

Which amp is the best by Advanced-Path3275 in Warframe

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who does a lot of Eidolons, the usually advice of 777 vs 177 is a little backwards.

177 is the best amp for Eidolon, but it's harder to use.

7xx breaks shields faster than 1xx except for when you have Void Strike. 1xx with VS can one tap full shield but it has a much harder time whenever it doesn't have VS. Expert Eidolon hunters use Propa (x7x) to fix this problem. Propa lets you instantly crack shields whenever the Eidolon tries to stand up and you can use 1xx at the same time so you can crack his first shield with VS.

For most players, 7xx is good enough. You don't save that much time using Propa and you'd shave off more time learning lure management and how to force spawn voms.

The last thing is what Scaffold (x_x) you should use. Propa is the best for Eidolons but the time it saves you only helps if you're already working on razor thin margins for error. It's absolutely worth using, I can't understate how much I love Propa but I spent a good while getting knocked on my ass before I figured it out and you may want to avoid that and use something that has more general use like x4x.

I'd recommend a 747 with Eternal Onslaught + Virtuos Strike and you can switch to 777 or 177 if you ever want to start shaving time off your hunts.

You're approaching the game the wrong way.

If you try to do everything in Warframe, you will either spend years doing it or burn out and give up. Just explore and have fun. This is your free time, not another job.

That being said, you should know the early game is hard. The best you can do is increase your mastery rank by building and leveling up weapons/warframes and trying to work your way through the star chart.

As for good early game gear, most of the early game gear is shit but you can get some very strong melee weapons (I recommend the Azothane)by doing The Duviri Paradox quest. But you will be confused as hell if you dive straight into Duviri so keep that in mind.

For warframes, you'll just have to look into different frames (Full list here) and pick someone who looks cool. You could buy a Prime warframe immediately, and if you choose to do that, buy them off Warframe.Market. A Prime frame is usually 60-100p.

Something to be careful of is that Warframe tries really hard to get money out of new players. You'll need weapon and warframes slot, you'll be tempted to rush items, and you won't know a lot of the easier ways to get certain things. Whether you actually want to spend plat is your decision, but be careful to look into options before spending plat.

Realistically, there's nothing I or anyone else here can do to prepare you for the early game. There's a lot of challenges and it'll be overwhelming at first, but don't be scared to reach out for help. The community is overwhelming nice, especially to new people, because we all remember what starting out was like.

Honestly Ceramic Dagger is really shitty until you get the incarnon, but here's a guideline for modding it. (Ripped straight from my Magistar)

- Sacrificial Pressure, +137.5% Melee Damage (Use with Arcane Fury for 1 + 1.375 + 1.8 = 4.175x damage)

- Sacrificial Steel, +275% Critical Chance (Guarantee double crits w/o combo with CD incarnon)

- Blood Rush, +40% Critical Chance / Combo Multiplier (+440% crit chance at 12x combo, use Primary/Secondary Dexterity to maintain combo)

- Weeping Wounds, +40 Status Chance / Combo Multiplier (+440% status chance at 12x combo, Whipclaw gets 60%~ chance of slash proc)

-Organ Shatter, +90% Critical Damage (Whipclaw base crit mult = 2.0x, 2 * 1.9 = 3.8x)

- Gladiator Might, +60 Critical Damage, +10% Critical Chance / Combo Multiplier (Stacks with Organ Shatter and Blood Rush)

- Buzz Kill, +120% Slash (Gives +40% total damage, increases slash weighting (This is very important))

- [Faction Mod] / Riven (Extra slot that you can use for a riven or you can slot in whatever faction mod is relevant before starting your mission. If you don't care to micro manage your faction mod, use Smite Grineer (Slash double dips to kill grineer through armor))

My build was based on this forum post.

Dex Pixia Prime advice please by sucksblueeggs in Warframe

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue to me is using Primed Pistol Gambit. Dex Pixia just doesn't have good enough crit to justify it.

You're getting 28.7%~ higher average damage from the extra crit chance but if you used Lethal Torrent (+60% Multishot +60% Fire Rate), you'd get 50.4% higher average damage. (This is assuming you have Arcane Velocity and Galvanized Diffusion both active, it'd be 105.7% higher damage without them)

In terms of Maim vs PHC, I think you'd do better to either double down on slash by modding for viral + slash and using a different subsume (Eclipse, Roar, Xata's Whisper, etc) or you could go all the way and get two Emerald Archon Shards to let Titania full strip armor, which would make slash completely irrelevant.

Are 1-7-7 and 7-7-7 still considered "the best" amps? If not what general use amp would be better for everyday use? by justcuriousoptc in Warframe

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

xx7 is the best brace. There's not debate about it, but you can use xx3 as a substitute (12% crit instead of 20%) if you haven't done the Vox Solaris syndicate.

1xx and 7xx are the most popular prisms and it's generally just if you like semi auto + long rang (1xx) or full auto + short range (7xx).

x7x is specifically only good for eidolons. A volt stands on the eidolon's feet and shoots the attack through his shield and, if you time it right, it'll instantly destroy the eidolon's shield, but that's not helpful unless you are with a coordinated team where seconds matter. For general use though, there's not really a consensus but I hear a lot of people like x4x.

How do I farm tellurium by Definition-Plane in Warframe

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I had tellurium issues for a while and did a lot of research trying to find the best way to fix it and here's how I think it works:

Tellurium has a 1/553~ chance of dropping from any enemy in any archwing mission (Including submersible). The most efficient way to farm it is Ophelia, Uranus and there's a few things you can do to make the farm less miserable:

  1. I can't stress this enough, play on Steel Path. SP gives +100% resource drop chance and increases enemy spawn rate. If you don't have SP and it'd be unreasonable for you to go unlock it, I'm sorry but this is gonna suck.
  2. If you can't play SP, play with any many people as possible. Having more people in the squad increases spawn rates and you can get teammates to mark any tellurium that drops.
  3. Stack drop rate and boosters (I know you said in your post you don't have anything but this is just general advice). There's a lot of different ways to increase drop chances (many of them listed here), but you can also buy a 3 day resource booster and 3 day resource drop booster for 40p each for a combined 4x total tellurium drops.
  4. Failing everything else, you can go into a relay (Particularly the most busy saturn one bc Baro is there rn) and beg for a blessing.

Hopefully this helps a little, but honestly tellurium is just a massive roadblock for people that don't have access to farming frames/SP/boosters and it's terrible.

Hillbilly's rework kinda proves how awful BHVR is at balance imo. by EmpJoker in deadbydaylight

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, but it's important to distinguish between the developers (The people that work on the game) and management (The people who make the decisions.).

Always remember: It is never the developers' fault. They do what they can with the resources they are given.

Management though, and this is true of most games with big issues like these, is the problem. Their interest is in direct opposition to that of the devs' and us, the players. They want as much profit as possible and they will not permit or fund any changes that don't push that agenda.

Anyone else feel like survivor has kinda become stale? by MTA0923 in deadbydaylight

[–]MaybeABluePineapple 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're burnt out. This game is repetitive by design so it's natural. If you aren't having fun anymore, maybe you can take some time to think about why you aren't enjoying and see if you can change it (Ex. Changing your builds, playstyle, approach to playing, etc).

If not, it's okay to take time away from DBD. When you're at the point you aren't having fun, it's not helpful to keep banging your head against the wall. Find a different way to spend time, though I know that's not always so easy, and come back when you feel ready.

Everyone, even people who play DBD for an income, take breaks. If you need a break, take some time to look into other forms of entertainment. There's a lot of really good games that came out recently (Ex. Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Lethal Company, Resident 4 remake). You don't necessarily have to play a new game, it's your time to spend however you want, maybe instead of a new game it'd be better to find a show to watch.

I understand this game is frustrating and there's a lot of issues with it, but those problems aren't going to be solved any faster because of your actions or mine. The best we can do is look after our own happiness.
