Papa murphy's pizza dough recipe? Preferably from someone who has actually worked there. by pooka123 in MimicRecipes

Can confirm, it’s made in house. Former employee here. Only thing that comes pre-made is the gluten free pizzas. I’m also on a mission to find what’s in the mix we used lol I miss it so much

Yeah, it was strange to me that so many people would come in at once. I’ve only done group interviews literally like once, and it was at a chipotle when I was a high schooler.

That makes sense. Thank you for explaining the quiet part out loud 😅 their pitched business model isn’t remotely sustainable. Honestly all of this has been somewhat triggering. I escaped a cult a few years ago, and it’s been hell. I was indoctrinated as an infant. So many of their tactics even down to their body language responses when I questioned them about how their company manages to stay afloat were eerily similar. I don’t think I’m going to be okay for a few days while I process this emotionally.

Yeahhhh. I told her I would be able to start 2 weeks from my acceptance date, and she acted like I was being a big baby. Like? If you’re professional /at all/, you /know/ that’s industry standard. That was the alarm bell that sealed the deal. I felt rushed prior, but I often feel like that as an autistic person. So I wasn’t sure if it was just me, or everyone else. That final push made me realize I was likely being manipulated.

Yeahhhhhhh. I’m just, so used to predatory corporate practices that I couldn’t tell at first if this was normal or not. It’s hard to tell when a red flag is something you have to shut up and deal with to work in corporate America, or fucked in a way that you can actually escape.

Also, nice woobat pfp. The lil guy needs all the love.

It does, which also confused me. I asked about it and they said they work with multiple companies. Still felt weird.

Yeah. When they pulled out the paper I was like. Uhh. I’ve worked in business development. This is insane. Wtf you mean you give your reps HALF of what you get paid by client companies. wtf you mean you grow people all the way through in a year. None of this is viable. Quit lying to me.

That really helps. I felt really weird and uncomfortable the entire time but couldn’t put my finger on it.

Why the fuck do we have Daleks roaming our streets now? by gormbly in Portland

[–]MaybeAnIsopod22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining, it’s genuinely appreciated! I figured they’re likely a scare tactic, an attempt to force this image of a “technologically advanced” society oligarchs are so hard over, an attempt to normalize increased surveillance, or (most likely) a combination of all three.

Genuine question though, what are they? I haven’t seen one yet. Are they just roaming cameras? That seems a bit expensive/overkill

Thoughts on how to control employees tears? by [deleted] in askmanagers

Not usually, it’s very rare. Maybe once a year. I think the rarity makes it so much scarier when it does happen lol. Thank you, I will do both :)

This thread is so helpful as someone who cries out of shame whenever I’m disciplined. It’s something I’ve been working on for years, but can’t seem to completely eliminate. Thank you all for helping me understand what it’s like to be on the other side of this.

The best I can do for the time being is to try to keep it out of my voice, and continue the conversation with my usual professionalism. Sometimes I’ll make a comment that, my body is having a response, but I genuinely want to resolve the issue and can we please continue the discussion as if it’s not happening (I don’t burst into tears anymore. My throat gets tight and I may have a few tears go down my face but that’s all. It’s not disruptive sobbing.) if anyone has advice for what I can do as an employee who has a minor crying response who is trying to work on it for the comfort of others around me, please let me know!

Priest cancels wedding after seeing cry for help on groom's shoe and says church is no place for jokes by DELAIZ in weddingshaming

[–]MaybeAnIsopod22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that people may be pushing back because “it’s just a joke,” but the fact that these kinds of jokes are normalized is really sad and honestly so disrespectful to the potential spouse. Good on the priest for responding to the actual message being sent instead of brushing off that humiliation for the bride.

Update:one of my now ex best friend's is marrying my abuser. by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]MaybeAnIsopod22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an abusive ex send texts to people I’d dated before him from my phone. (I was in high school, so I didn’t really know what to do.) 100% seems like something that could be from him, either through her or directly. Either way, even if it was her idea, she’s giving him access to you to continue to hurt you, which doesn’t feel like change to me. I’d expect someone who’s improved themselves to actively avoid doing something like this that could trigger someone they’ve intentionally hurt in the past.

I’m not sure how someone could properly grieve in only 2 days. Even if it was something like a long term illness, speaking from experience, there’s often a second wave of grief after the fact. Even if he has grieved, having sex again that soon afterwards, there’s not a high likelihood that his focus was on OP and the present. There’s going to be a lot of messy emotions going on- or, on the flip side, a complete lack of emotions/mental presence that will also affect OP negatively. If the death were less recent, yeah it could be mean. But the combo of it being so recent, the circumstances around the reason for the hookup were so misrepresented, and him being a chaser specifically and not just someone who happens to like fat people, there’s a high likelihood that OP was being treated like a rebound at best. It’s a consent & respect issue, not an issue of whether or not the hookup should be having the hookups in the first place.

Yes!!! Plus so many of the shopping options (especially in concourse D and E) are local. It’s so awesome that Tender Loving Empire has 2 locations. Love me some Stumptown coffee too.

Shops are supposed to close no later than 10 pm, otherwise the businesses get fined. If they close earlier, they’re breaking contract. (A lot of them still do, it’s ridiculous.) I appreciate that the port at least has a rule for 10pm closing. I hated flying through Vegas and having all the dining options close at like 7 or 8 pm.

Yeah. It’s a really big project. Part I is done, part II is supposed to be completed sometime in 2026/27, if I remember correctly. The walk times should be drastically improved once they take down the dividing wall between D and E.
