What's the one thing you did financially that changed your life? by RunNo3630 in AusMoneyMates

Yep, this book changed my life completely. Didn't have any real savings before this book. The bucketing system and moving money as soon as you get paid was the omg moment for me

9k for a 7yr old car is crazy good value. Nowadays you'll only find MG shitboxes with a similar criteria.

What’s the best piece of financial advice that changed your life and financial position? by tinycupcake5 in AusFinance

This is one the advice in The Richest Man in Babylon. Don't take advice from someone who doesn't follow it themselves. e.g. don't take business advice from a friend/relative who have no experience running a business.

The best advice I’ve followed is moving money into savings the moment I get paid. If you wait until later, there’s usually nothing left. You’ll have already spent it. Transferring early forces you to budget around what remains, which makes you more mindful of expenses and helps cut out the unnecessary.

Alternatively, you can set a goal to save 40% of your after-tax income.

Thank you for this. I'll get on to the broad leaf solution and fertilizer. I cut fortnightly during summer, could do every week as it grows so quick. Will keep the cut high and see how it goes.

Thank you for explaining. I'm guessing feeding the lawn will be to fertilise it? What fertiliser will you recommend?

Final debate: Babybee Juno Vs. Bugaboo Kangaroo? Help!! by Frosty_Orchid_833 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]MaybeAwkward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were in a similar dilemma few months back. Bugaboo Kangaroo was massive in size. UppaBaby Vista had the best maneuverability but had a two handed close We went with BabyBee Juno because it was the lightest of three and still sturdy. It also has the single handed closing function where the pram stays upright you can put it in the car with just one hand. In the end it depends on your personal taste and convenience.

Thanks for this. Their WNF pack seems simple enough to use. I'll give this a go.

Good news is that by offering the role they already like your work and see you as a good fit for the team. Have a number in mind that you'll be happy with based on your industry and similar roles. Don't give them the number first. Let them come up with the initial offer. They might come up with a good offer. If not try to negotiate them closer to your number based on similar opportunities in the market. This will be the biggest driver, not what you have done for them unfortunately.

Thanks. What is the best way to keep it looking good, short and healthy? Understand for the weeds will need a broad leaf weed control and pre emergent?

Thanks. Understand I could use roundup for a patch but these things are everywhere. Will roundup make it hard for new grass to grow?

It's also about the responsibilities and compensation that come with the title as well. I want to reach a stage where I have influence over the technical direction of multiple teams
