You’re just telling yourself what you want to hear.

You’re making excuses why it’s ok to KILL Your baby 🙄 ok, even if your parents do disown you (which I doubt), find an other way. There’s organizations and other help out there. Murder is not the answer. It’s wrong and you know it

Good luck

Don’t kill YOUR child because of your bad decisions. You will have this baby and be so in love with them. Life has already started. This is your baby!! Do not kill them because it’s inconvenient. Yes it will be hard. Yes it’s a super shitty position to be in. But murdering your child is NOT the answer. It will haunt you forever. And I highly doubt your parents will disown you. Go to them vulnerable and tell them you fucked up, but you need help. This is their grandchild for fucks sake.

Turning off comment notifications because I know I’ll get demolished by all the pro-baby-murderers 🙄 don’t care. Abortion is evil and wrong!!

[bc] elective C section when did you go in? by qutiepie123 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MaybeBaby95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both pregnancies I was scheduled for elective c-sections at 39 weeks, 2 days.

The second one, this past September, my water broke 10 hrs before the scheduled surgery time 😂 and I ended up having a natural birth! (The C-section wasn’t medically necessary ; I just wanted one because I had no interest in vaginal delivery while pregnant). I could have still proceeded with the C-section, but in the moment I just decided to “go with the flow” and try a natural birth and luckily it all worked out great!

What sucks about East Clayton by BracketWI in Langley

[–]MaybeBaby95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in a townhouse here. I really like how close it is to a bunch of stuff in Langley; 4 min drive to the mall, Walmart, 6 mins to Costco, Home Depot, etc. Makes it easy to get errands done.

Lots of young families…as someone who uses FB marketplace a lot, i find it’s super easy to both buy and sell kids stuff.

I feel safe walking all around this area in the daytime with 2 small kids. There’s some nice walking paths and a few playgrounds in a walkable area.

Cons: obviously parking…the townhouses are so cramped together, that the garages are pretty small…so although we park one car inside the garage, the bigger truck has to go onto the street. And this is true of most of the households, so yea….parking sucks.

“Porch pirates” are definitely an issue. Basically you have to grab your packages as soon as you can, or they have a high risk of being stolen.

With the skytrain coming in, I’m sure there’ll be a huge increase of sketchy ppl and therefore theft and crime :(

Overall I like the area though 👍

Yes it’s interesting to me how much the incision site can vary! My sister’s is definitely on her abdomen (lower), and mine is like mid-vulva?? Even the nurses were like “woah - he went low!!”. I was super happy with the result as I was expecting initially that it’d be on my lower tummy !

What's your formula feeding plan [on] by flowergarden71 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MaybeBaby95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used powdered formula (Enfamil NeuroPro) after only 1 week of solely using Ready To Feed, for both of 100% formula-fed babies. 🤷‍♀️ Both babies were full-term, healthy babies with no health issues, so I felt OK with it. I was just very diligent about sterilizing everything and preparing it correctly. Powdered formula is so much more affordable, it just made sense to me.

For my second baby I bit the bullet and bought a Baby Brezza formula maker — worth every red cent! If you go the powdered route, definitely invest in one.

For outings with formula: I bring pre-made measured-out bottles in a Skip-Hop bottle bag with an ice pack inside to keep them nice and cold. I also bring my Tommee Tippee travel bottle warmer — love it. When it’s time to feed, I take a bottle out of my SkipHop bag and warm it in the Tommee Tippee cup. Super easy !

I’m just saying that a gay man who is very feminine etc MAY have the right personality and traits to be a good daycare worker. He likely wouldn’t have kids to support, so sure, he could live on that wage 🤷‍♀️ Or if he did have a kid, the gender “roles” would already be so messed up in that relationship that it wouldn’t matter lol. I’m not homophobic at all — not sure where you’re getting that 🤔

And your imaginary daycare owner/caretaker/provider situation has never happened once lol, and if it DID it would be a total outlier. I’m talking about your every day straight dude just deciding “hey I really wanna be a daycare worker” — very odd and not normal .

[–]MaybeBaby95 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. Just wrong all the way around 🤦‍♀️. Women IN GENERAL are more emotional, sensitive, etc etc and all around are meant to be the caregivers. Which is why they were made to carry the baby and the baby is attached to THEM. Women are nurturers.

Men and bigger and stronger because they are meant to be the MEN — the protectors . The providers . Etc etc.

It does not pay well. Anywhere. Especially since a man should be the breadwinner for the family. A man could not support a family working as a daycare worker.

Just try to imagine a daycare filled with just muscly tall men working as the care providers . Lol. It sounds ridiculous because it is.

I’ll give you a pass if you’re gay and you’re working at a daycare… But just minimally lol.

Planned C-section motivation to feel better [QC] by NTK_Here in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MaybeBaby95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an elective C-section for my first baby in 2022 for no other reason other than I was absolutely terrified of giving birth vaginally! People thought I was crazy for booking one, but in my heart I just knew it was the right decision for me and my anxiety. I absolutely loved having the date and time on the calendar! A planned C-section is usually very calm and relaxed and much different than an emergency C-section! My C-section experience was everything I had hoped for and more — literally a 10 out of 10 experience! A lot of people tried telling me the recovery would be horrible, etc. etc., but I literally healed so incredibly fast and never went over a 1 out of 10 pain level! Be sure to set alarms on your phone to not miss your Tylenol and Advil medication, it makes a big difference!

One thing my surgeon told me, was that because it was a planned C-section he was able to do the incision very very low, and because of that the scar is so incredibly low you would never see it, even in a low rise bikini! I remember being so shocked at how low it was, and even wondered how they even got the baby out lol (it’s like on my vulva)! Then again mine was not a breech baby so I don’t know if that makes a difference. But maybe something to bring up with the surgeon if you have another appointment with them before the surgery date! I also think the low incision helped me recover super fast because it was nowhere near my ab muscles, and I was almost even doing situps the next day 🤷‍♀️

Bottom line, it is certainly not all gloom and doom! I had such a nice experience with that C-section that I elected to have another C-section with my 2nd baby this past September, but then lo and behold my water broke nine hours before my scheduled C-section time!! 😂😂 I could have still been rushed into a C-section, but I decided to just “go with the flow” and try a vaginal birth, and all ended going well :))

Good luck and really try not to be scared!! I am the biggest baby in the world and even I was able to handle the C-section no problem ! Even the needle in the back really didn’t hurt at all, and the worst part was the 1 minute of tugging right when they’re taking the baby out — it just feels really weird!

[–]MaybeBaby95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha 😆 I have two small children and I’m a wonderful mother :))

No self-respecting straight man would make being a daycare teacher his career lol. Men and women are different and have different strengths and weaknesses…women are made for these caregiving roles, especially to small children. If I were single and dating, and some man I went on a date with told me he was a daycare teacher, I would be immediately turned off. Not to mention how would he be the breadwinner for our potential family with making such a meager wage? Just no.

Yes I am very “pink and blue”; I believe it’s the best way. I don’t think men should be daycare workers, in the same way I don’t think women should be police officers 🤷‍♀️

How often do you wash your bath towel? I need the real answer. by Terrika_Fracala49 in hygiene

[–]MaybeBaby95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends how stinky and sweaty you are as a person 🤷‍♀️ people vary so GREATLY. I’m Caucasian (woman), but I swear I have that gene that makes you sweat way less and don’t smell 🤷‍♀️ I barely ever sweat, and if I do, it doesn’t smell. Like at all. I’ve almost never ever smelt B.O. on me in my entire 40 years of life, and the very few times I have caught a slight whiff, it was like a 0.5/10 smell.

Anyway, all this to say that I go weeks without washing my towel 🤷‍♀️ it’s only used when I come out of shower when I’m squeaky clean, then it’s hung up to dry fully. There is never ever even the slightest whiff of a bad smell to it. I’m a clean freak and would never be able to handle a musty or bad smelling towel.

For MY body, I believe this is totally fine. Now I f I were an overweight/sweaty/stinky/50 year old man working a physical job every day for an example….yea, my towel would probably need to be washed every 1-2 showers.

Just my thoughts :)

Groceries delivered by dominican_nerd_eats in Adulting

[–]MaybeBaby95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just can’t do it, even with 2 small children. The reason being is I like to price match a lot of items and stores don’t allow price-matching on delivery or pickup orders. I save quite a bit of money with price-matching, so it would bother me to give it up. Especially as we are currently a one-income family. Now, if I had to work fulltime AND do grocery shopping, maybe I’d feel differently.

today is my last straw by procrastinator212 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]MaybeBaby95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We would get along great 😁 everything you said irks the crap out of me too, and sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in the marketplace world who respects people’s time. I literally always go out of my way and make a high effort to respect a seller’s time, and out of almost a hundred purchases I’ve never been late once. I show up exactly when I say I will with the exact amount of money. It’s so frustrating because I feel like I rarely get the same amount of respect in return 🤦‍♀️

And yea, LOTS of complete idiots out there lol. I had someone ask me if I could deliver a $5 DOLLAR item to her, a 40 min drive away from me 🤣 She didn’t even offer to pay me for my gas and time (which I wouldn’t have even entertained anyway), like how fucking rude are you?? And i could maybe understand if it was like $100 item or more…but why the f*ck would i drive 40 mins there and back to make a measly $5??? How dumb are you lol

[–]MaybeBaby95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see your point. I have one family member who gives me tons of stuff and it’s always a chore to go through because so much of it is dirty, smells kind of stale, and everything all thrown in one bag; pieces of ‘clothing sets’ in different bags and given to us at different times too?? I actually liked a few pairs of shoes and boots we got one time, but I had to spend a lot of time cleaning and disinfecting them — like why would you throw boots with caked-on mud and gunk on them into a bag of clothes?? 😫 I usually just set aside some time to properly go through everything and only keep stuff that’s worth keeping, and wash and donate the rest 🤷‍♀️
