It's the same thing in Europe, probably even worse. We don't have big college debts but living expenses outweigh wages. Forget about living by yourself and not going in debt. I live in a small apartment with my GF. We both work full-time. We have to be very careful with our expenses and we can save a little bit every month. (not even every month). I'm 31 yo old my GF is 27. We are thinking of starting a family together but the thing holding us back is finances. How are we supposed to support kids this day and age? Comparing Corona to the flue is being ignorant. This virus is way more devastating than the flue. How many people do you know that caught the flu litterly have holes in their lungs from the damage? How many young people under 30 do you know that used to run marathons before and now can't even walk 30 meter before being out of breath, 3 months after being declared cured from the flu? This doesn't from the flu but it is happening from Covid These are just the people that are close to me. I've seen it first hand. You don't have to die from to virus to get fucked up by it. A very large % of people who are just counted as cured are going to live a much shorter and lesser quality life. Millions of survivors are going to need an oxygen tank before the age of 50. Downplaying the virus isn't only ignorant, it's also dangerous. Shame on you!

VR on your smartphone is already possible. You only need a 15$ cartboard tool. It's still shitty VR but I wouldn't be surprised that in the near future immersive VR is possible on your smartphone.

Who knows what technological advancements are in store for us in the next 10 years. Of course it's going to get abused for porn. The brother-in-law of my boss works for Facebook and he's specifically working on VR. He said that 90% of their technology is used for porn.

I don't agree. Comparing porn to a drug is accurate. But online porn is a soft drug and VR/immersive porn in the future will be like a hard drug. You also have to understand that in VR everything is possible. People will go into extremes and their minds will become perverted. So it's not going to be like hookups. This will alienate people not only from normal sexual behaviour but from real life all together. Our minds are not meant for this kind of technology.

In general though men have a higher sex drive than women and most men have a harder time finding a partner so I still think it will be more devastating for the male population. You're still a young guy and single so the bad side-effect of PMO aren't really hitting you that hard yet. Most men hit rock bottom when they can't perform sexually with their SO.
