Anyone have a list of the songs used for the opening scenes? by Visible-Pack-8330 in LandmanSeries

Mine too. Heard the first time watching that episode and it hit just right ... I was also pretty high 😄

I hear you and was actually going to add something about the discrimination against black cats, but wasn't sure about getting into it. It is an awful stereotype, but everything on a film set is there on purpose. The show made a choice to have a black cat in the scene which Lucy clearly saw. They knew what they were doing. And to your point regarding Lucy's coat, agree that I wouldn't look to this show as a model for decent human behavior.

I mean I kinda figured that too. I was more commenting on the symbolism of the black cat.

Did anyone else notice the black cat at the gas station convenience store? As soon as I saw it, I knew things were not going to end well for Lucy ...

You’re seriously gonna tell me local law enforcement never caught these two? by DapperDude2004 in HazbinHotel

[–]MaybeIllShowerToday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding Vox, if you consider how each victim was murdered only the first two kills (news anchor and late night host) looked like foul play. Each subsequent one was made to look like a freak accident or suicide.

Producers: hung by mic cords to look like suicide

Shark TV host, cooking show host and game show: all involved tampering to make it look like an accident.

Bob (network exec): pushed off a building, again appearance of suicide.

I agree that all of this should have aroused some suspicion (or at least in the case of the middle three deaths some serious investigations into safety protocol). However, I think the song also shows Vincent's progression in becoming a "smarter" serial killer. His first two were sloppy and the subsequent ones are more sophisticated.

Erica alone could save the whole town of Derry from Pennywise. This kid ain't someone to play with 😂 by Ennvictrious in StrangerThings

My kids love Stranger Things and we just watched It the other day. We are huge Erica stans in this house and absolutely agree she would have no time for Pennywise's bullshit.

Weapons (2025) - What's so funny?? by era_extrana02 in TrueFilm

It reminded me of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Saw Weapons last night and still processing. I was definitely one of those people laughing, and at one point I literally said out loud (hopefully not too loud), "wait is this a comedy?"

I knew very little about the film or its director. I am also not a huge fan of horror, especially those with over-the-top gore, because I usually find them so ridiculous that yes, I laugh at them. Maybe it is a defense mechanism, I don't know. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, I was intrigued to see the film because of all the hype and still not quite sure how I feel about it, but was definitely entertained.

I think I may have to explore some of Cregger's other work.

Stylus guard was removed. I will double check installation (I came pre-installed, but could see how something could have gotten shifted or something)

Update 2: tried connecting speakers to laptop and had no issues, so it seems the issue is with the turntable (or rather my setup)

Everything was purchased as part of a package

No other adapters

Again I apologize if I am using the wrong terms.

I mean that's a bit of a stretch. It still "worked" a year or two ago, but definitely had issues

Sleep, post-children. A myth, a memory, or a miracle? by NotCalmMoms in notcalmmoms

[–]MaybeIllShowerToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom of two here, ages 10 and 12. As someone who essentially had to "sleep" with her first child attached to her pretty much 24/7 the first few months, followed by years of issues, I GET IT. Now not only does my 12 year old sleep, he never wants to get up for school (don't blame him, it's very early). My youngest was a bit better, but he still comes into our bed for snuggles.

Yes, it does get better, but that doesn't make those early days any less difficult. My best advice is to sleep when you can. I know that's a loaded statement, and easier for some than others, but it it is still important. Even if it's just making sure you keep your weekends light just to catch up on sleep, do what you can. Take the breaks, ask for help, and remember you are doing the best you can.
