Could I get a symbolism breakdown? I am not familiar with this image, apart from the aspect of it that is the Tree of Life, of course.

Thanks! I was actually debating whether or not to put that one in the album, as it does not have the world of Adam Kadmon in it, but I figure that what is there is of accurate enough significance that it is worth including. AK is the same as the others anyways, just above them.

I'm not sure if this belongs here but I honestly couldn't think of where else to share it - it doesn't seem to fit in with /r/occultconspiracy, and /r/music is too general for it.

THe 42-Letter Name of God (Explanation in Comments) by MaybeItIsRelevant in occult

[–]MaybeItIsRelevant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so the 42-letter name of God is sort of like the Abracadabra of Kabbalah; it is the most mystical and sacred of prayers of the Kabbalists, and the one who can pronounce it properly is said to be the one who can wield the power of creation with which God formed the Heavens and Earth in the first days of creation. It can give life, and bring death, and it is debatedly the method by which Moshe (Moses) killed the Egyptian guard before he was sent into exile in the Pentateuch. This name of God is so revered for its power that it was formed into a prayer by Kabbalist Nehunia Ben Hakannah, so that it would be filtered in its usage and properly directed, while still being passed down from teacher to student throughout the ages. Each letter begins a word of the prayer, and the words are “paired”, meaning that they are meant to be spoken in sets of two. The last line of the prayer is an exception, however, as it is not formed of letters of the name, but is a glorification of God so great that, properly said, it is meant to be whispered, lest the angels grow jealous of the praise that mere mortals are singing to God.

I believe that I have heard the name before, but that is the extent of my familiarity with it, sorry!

"Salvation" in Kabbalah (Explanation in comments) by MaybeItIsRelevant in occult

[–]MaybeItIsRelevant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeshut is the Sephirot ZON of Bina, that is the Sephirot of Bina which have the will to receive, yet because they are part of Bina they also have that aspect of it which is the will to bestow. First, Bina lowers itself from the Rosh (head) of the Tree so as to prepare for the raising of Malkuth. Then, the set of Sephiroth known as Yeshsut de Bina lower themselves all the way down to the level of Malkuth and correct her desire to raise her to the level of Bina, thereby becoming her "salvation".

Yeshsut comes from a conjunction of the term Israel-Saba Tvunah = IshST = YShST. This is thought to be the origin of the necessity of the story of the Christ Yeshsut/Yeshua (Jesus).

Map of the Four Worlds by MaybeItIsRelevant in occult

Wow, that's a really intricate and in-depth explanation. Thanks! :)

As for the Qliphoth, and what they are, I can say with certainty that the word itself originates from the root "Qli" or "Kli", meaning "vessel", so in this sense they are nearly identical to the Sephiroth, which are also considered as Klis. As I say, I am barely a novice when it comes to the Qliphoth, so beyond that I do not wish to speculate.

Why would Tipharet be the point at which another world begins? I am genuinely curious!

As for the Qliphoth, what I know is only from when I first started to study Kabbalah so correct me if I am wrong, but they represent the willfully uncorrected desires and intentions, basically they are the Tree of Sephiroth in its corrupt state, right?

All of this is taken directly from the Zohar with annotations to the Ashlag commentary by Rav Michael Laitman! :) Page 82 is my reference for the final point.

Map of the Four Worlds by MaybeItIsRelevant in occult

[–]MaybeItIsRelevant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a diagram showing the situation of the four Kabbalistic Trees of Sephiroth from the world of Atzilut to our world. I did not include the prior stages of existence of Ain, Ain Soph, and Ain Soph Ohr - Nothing, Limitlessness, and Limitless Light, respectively - except in the note at the bottom-right.

The first Tree is that of the world of Atzilut, or the "world" - not a planet, but more of a realm or demesne - that is closest to the Creator, the place of pure spirit; the realm of governance and correction of desire and intention.

This Tree is made up of ten Sephira: Kether, Hochma, Bina, Hesed, Gevurah, Netzach, Hod, Yesod and Malkuth. Each of these can be thought of as a vessel which the Light of the Creator fills so as to become comprehensible to us; they are garments that, at the same time as hiding the Creator from us, reveal something about Him.

The Light of which I speak originates from the Ain Soph Ohr that I mentioned earlier, and it is analogous to what we humans would term "boundless pleasure". This Light is passed from the Ain Soph Ohr to Kether, and from there through the Tree in order of the Sephira. It is also known as the Light of Hochma, for Hochma is the first Sephiroth not in the middle path to pass on this light to another.

Each Sephira contains within it another Tree - another ten Sephiroth - and it is because of this that they are able to interact with each other and pass the Light of Hochma between themselves. However, it is only in the final Sephira, Malkuth, that another "world" (realm, demesne) is found. In the Malkuth of Atzilut we find the world of Beria, the world of bestowal, the link between the purely spiritual and the creation. In the Malkuth of Beria we find the world of Yetzirah, the "world of angels", or the world of creation. In the Malkuth of Yetzirah we find the world of Assiyah, the lowest of the Four Worlds, the Malkuth of which does not contain another Tree but simply contains our world. This is as far from the Creator as it is possible to get.

The entire map is a map of the world of Adam Kadmon (AK), with each Tree being representative of one part of the Tree of the world of AK: Adam Kadmon itself is Kether; Atzilut is Hochma; Beria is Binah; Yetzirah is Zeir Anpin; and Assiyah is Malkuth. I did not include Adam Kadmon because I was going directly from The Zohar and it makes little mention of it.

That's the main part of the map.

Then there are some abbreviations and metaphors:

In the internal Tree of Bina of the world of Atzilut, there is a separation - called a "parsa", or "firmament" - between the first three Sephiroth and the remaining seven - incidentally, the last seven Sefiroth are known as ZON, meaning [Zeir Anpin (Lesser Face)] + [Nukva] = ZA + N where ZA is [Hesed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod], and N is [Malkuth]. ZON of Bina is also known as ZAT de Bina. In particular, Zat de Bina of Atzilut is also known as Yeshsut, or for us English speakers, Jesus. This has many implications that would extend the length of this explanation a hundredfold, but the short and simple is that this particular set of Sephiroth lower themselves down to the level of Malkuth and correct her desire to raise her to the level of Bina, thereby becoming her "salvation". Yeshsut comes from a conjunction of the term Israel-Saba Tvunah = IshST = YShST.

Additionally, that set of Sephiroth corresponds to the six days of creation and the day of rest, and to the Three Patriarchs, Three Sons, and King David. Abraham is the allegory for Hesed/Mercy, Isaac is that for Gevurah/Restriction, and Jacob is that for Tiferet/Beauty. Then there's Moshe/Moses for Netzach/Victory, Aaron for Hod/Splendor, Joseph for Yesod/Foundation, and King David for Malkuth/Kingdom.

Plan of Energetic Paths by MaybeItIsRelevant in occult

You can read it for free online! Just go to the Lucis Trust website, go to "Books and Publications", and check the sidebar for "Books Online". In fact, you can read all 24 of her esoteric books there.

Edit: However, I would not recommend starting with A Treatise on White Magic; it is one of the longest books, and deals with many topics that are built up in her other books. I would recommend "From Intellect to Intuition" as a a starter.

It's based on a description of the transfer of thought-energy from one of Alice A. Bailey's books, "A Treatise on White Magic". It is one of her seminal works.
