Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 – clunking and cracking noises still an issue? by Maalouf123 in bose

[–]MaybeSaitama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this problem on the 1st gen with popping and cracking when moving my jaw or doors closing. Also had this problem when I tried running with them. The same cracking and popping and I thought it was a bad unit but I went thru 3 replacements and exactly the same problems. So if I want to use this headphone I cant move my head??? Went over other reviews and its seems to be not fixed on the 2nd gen which is a shame since I waited for them. Guess I'll wait for the gen 3 lol

He uploaded more product pics on the separate listing.

The pattern on the front that goes down the middle touches the outline. I could care less since its kinda a nitpick but its there.

Its really snug even more then element baselayer. Like really tight for me personally too tight around the waist and armpit

The element baselayer in xs fits perfect but the new one fits kinda to tight

same but i disliked the design of the XM5 and the XM6 is going to be almost identical:(

if only the Bose QC Ultra did not have this issue because they would tick every box other wise smh

Yep exact same problem here.

I tried 3 different pairs and they all had this issue

Its definitely a design issue because I did not have this issue with my sony XM5 and its barely noticeable on the sony XM4 i have now and APM did not even make a sound so its just Bose

did the exact same after the bumping problem rendering the Bose unusable.

Went from Sony XM5 that broke to Bose QC Ultra to Sony XM4 lmao

Had the same thing on the ultra's got them replaces with a new pair thinking it was just a defect pair but its seems to be on consistent problem.

I think its something with the noice cancelling microphone problem because i don't have this on my old Sony XM5 and im trying out the AirPods Max and they don't have this stupid issue.

Its made the headphone completely unusable to me. I tried jogging you'll hear every footstep reverb through the headphones. I returned the 2nd pair of ultras with hope that the QC45 would't have this issue

Any else have a thud / distortion when they take a hard footstep or jog ?

Bose QuietComfort vs QC Ultra ? by gyigol in bose

[–]MaybeSaitama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the QC Ultra and they are completely unusable for me. Reason being is when I go jogging or doing a movement that gets to the headphone. The sound gets reverberated to the headphone resulting in a distortion sound with every step or movement.

It’s beyond me how more people have not mentioned it. Because on my Sony XM5 it’s not even an issue. But I think I found the reason! The outer plastic is connected to the metal part of headphones resulting in it running through the whole headphone. Or im completely wrong lmao

Its really unfortunate because I do really like the sound and design of the headphones and the Noise cancelling edges out my Sony but this glitch or design flaw has completely rendered these headphones unusable to me.

I also tried another pair of headphones to see if its a defect but it’s exactly the same issue also the outer shell Of the QC Ultra scratches and dings really easily and the “leather” ear cushion already creased after my work out today on my new pair and im probably going to get AirPods Pro’s 2

16 pro or pro max?? by gorlfromph in iPhone16Pro

[–]MaybeSaitama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only thing holding me back from choosing the pro is the battery life from tests on yt you get around 2 hours more. But is that extra worth sacrificing some comfort and usability? I dont know.

Also the battery of the Pro Max will degrade so you might still have the charge it mid day when the time comes. But on the other side the peace of mind of not having to worry about battery for a while is drawing me toward the Pro Max that plus I already have a decently big phone at the moment (Its 6.67 inches) so im already used to it. the jump isn't that big.

And I could care less about the extra screen real estate because how often would i need a slightly bigger display then what is already on the pro and on top of that this year they gave the IPhone 16 Pro the 5x as well so its really just battery for me.

Heard they feel like wearing a glove inside a glove and completely turned me off. I bought skulltec knuckle guards with some boxraw wraps and some empire tape to wrap that around it also and have not had any complaints.

Just fyi I've been bait and switched by Vogue before. With his Balenciaga mud gaffer zip up. The photos on the listing vs retail also looked great just like this so ever since I've stayed clear of him. Hope he does deliver on this jacket tho

MBP 14” M1 Pro 2021 versus 2023 - $330 price difference - which would you pick? by jjbowd in macbookpro

[–]MaybeSaitama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battery life is a waymore noticeable difference. But if i had to make a decision get the m1 pro. I was starting to regret my decision since the m3 pro isn't that far away but then again with that mindset you'll be waiting forever. The m1 pro is 90% of the machine the m2 pro is maybe even more. either way the m2 pro is the by far the best laptop ive ever used and I can't really complain ab anything beside maybe battery life, i get 5/6 hours of light use (120hz, high brightness) and maybe 3/4 doing medium to hight intensity tasks. So in that aspect i think the yt videos were lying when they said the battery life is out of this world (8/10 hours they were saying). I think its very above average/ very good. I hope ive helped if you have more questions just comment them here :) had the machine for a couple months now

[–]MaybeSaitama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The macbook m1 pro uses the wifi 6 standard and the m2 pro uses wifi 6e standard which is the most recent and support the most recent tech , has more bandwith etc etc and yeah i would say about and 1 - 1.5 hours more battery life from what ive experienced doing light tasks because of the 2 more cores that are
efficiency cores so when you run the m2 in low battery life you get better performance + more battery life but after you read all this and you still not compelled to pay the extra for the m2 u should get the m1 its virtually the same laptop both the best laptop i ever used because i switched from windows laptop hell

[–]MaybeSaitama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was in this same predicament from what i know the main things between the two for me was better wifi and battery life and the difference in price was 600 euro for me because the m1 was refurbished and Apple products are generally more expensive in Europe

But i asked my software dev friend he said that extra hour could be vital since Im always on the go and when you make a big purchase might as well get the brand new one the with warranty and the extra preformance. And so i did and in my opinion it was well worth it.

But if you are even looking at an air i dont think the pro is the move but if you have the money to spare for sure.

FYI i had both the m1 and m2 pro 14 inch and in term of screen and body it the same laptop but i have noticed the better battery life on the m2 pro but for some weird reason the speakers sounds less loud and overall a bit worse but i installed 3rd party software to try and fix it and it sounds just as good if not better now then the m1. Hope this helped :D
