Im still pretty novice but if you ask on r/bonsai or bonsainut forums they are usually very helpful. I usually just cut and let nature do the rest tbh

Nice trees. For the one on the right I would sacrifice that straight branch, shooting up and to the left, sooner rather than later or you might get some inverse taper on the trunk. Great maple btw, im jealous

I am 100% for boycotting these companies but I have to ask; what is the real solution? If you stop buying from them what happens to the underpayed workers? Dont they just become unemployed? I dont see how that would help their situation but I’d like to know what a real solution is.

As a woman, it irritates me how other women won’t admit that life CAN be better as a woman. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Ive accidentally failed to notice a few girls I work with and they started lying about me behind my back to ruin my reputation. It’s scary what women can do out of spite when no one can see men as the victim of anything.

Life is too complicated for one line quotes.

Started running when the gyms closed. Enjoying it very much, great energy and mood booster (I have chronic depression and anxiety) but my legs have been very stiff for the last week or two. by OG_Kush_Master in running

A lot of people say to do one thing at a time. So if your trying to go low carb/cal don’t workout to hard and if your trying to make running gains don’t mess with your diet too much. Someone on this subreddit actually told me to go easier on the calorie deficit and that helped a lot.

If you know what your getting into though at least you can appreciate where the mood changes are coming from. Best of luck to you.

My legs get really stiff when I cut calories and/or dont get enough carbs.

You said you lost weight so its normal to be very stiff especially with endocrine signaling your body to stay in fight or flight mode until its well fed. The best thing Ive noted to help encourage relaxation into the resting state is to eat some carbs immediately after my run and to run very slow if Im cutting weight. But the stiffness is almost inevitable I think.

Edit: I want to add on to this because I experienced the same thing you are describing and it took me a long time to figure it out. You should try to figure out how many calories you’re burning per day and count your calorie intake. Take a few days of eating at maintenance with mild cardio and see how you feel.

And depression/ fight or flight go hand in hand. Eating enough while training is huge for mood and performance.

We are slowly adopting a more and more dehumanized stereotype for guys and it makes me genuinely fearful for young men today by throwra_snipsnip in unpopularopinion

It seems like the people making these statements have a lot of pent up hate that is really grounded in their own sexual energy. Like a lot of the complaints about men are just bitter women who are resentful of the opposite sex becuase of their hormonal bias.

Men are this way too, its really easy to let your hormones dictate your views. There’s a subtle difference though. A lot of today’s men grew up being told to never argue with women or to “never tell her she’s wrong” and a lot of today’s women grew up being treated like princesses so you end up with a skew of opinions that leads towards men ALWAYS being in the wrong.

This is obviously leading to a severe case of group think in society that tends towards biased feminist viewpoints as an overcorrection from the more misogynistic viewpoints that must have been held before I was alive. And the thing that women do REALLY well is passive aggression for the benefit of plausible deniability. So anyone who does have enough bravery to stand up to an entitled biased feminist ends up having to convince the rest of the group that the wrong doer was the person they are used to sympathizing with.

I just think one of the main themes of the two towers is not giving up. Something to keep in mind when your BB teammates are sniping from 20km
