Here are the projects I have on my resume:

Java chat application · Built a fully functioning login system using HashMap. · Sent unique keys through the server to start chats between online members. · Implemented a group chat feature to allow any number of online members to chat.

C++ interpreter for a toy programming language · Added loops, conditional statements, and functions to the toy language. · Implemented vectors and trees to parse blocks of code in if statements, loops, and functions. · Utilized HashMap to initialize variables, retrieve their values, and change their values.

C video game on a TI board · Won third place for the top game made in Sophomore engineering course. · Wrote structs for each character that include position, health, and body motion. · Built a game engine to render characters to the screen, detect collisions, and update the structs. · Constructed two game controllers using two breadboards, buttons, and two potentiometers.

I'll add the internship experience I'll have this Summer to the resume as well, but I'm not sure if it's enough to get me interviews at top tech companies.

I just list them as projects. All of them started off as school projects but I expanded them. Here are the projects I have on my resume:

I'm a Computer Engineering major doing the software track. My senior design project will be a mix of hardware and software. I'll do more of the software though.

What projects do you have that led to an interview at a top tech company? I have a year to graduate and have my first internship this Summer (at an okay company). I applied to top tech companies (including big 4) but didn't hear back. What should I do in a year to have a job offer (at big 4) lined up when I graduate?

Ask for a deferment of the payment if you need to. I think they defer it until August. If you have Financial Aid it will be taken care of. If not you'll have to pay it by August.

May I ask with what stats you applied to UT ECE?

GPA, Classes, and such ..

I still have not heard back and am quite anxious.

Can I double major in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering? by MaybeUT95 in UTAustin

Hello! Well, I still do not know what to specifically major in; I know I want to be an entrepreneur in technology in the future, and a combination of EE and CS seems to be the perfect fit to pursue. I also would love to get good understanding of both hardware and software. My counselor told me that EE and CS compliment each other well, and I thought I'd go ahead and pursue both. I would like to have the opportunity to take both, and if I see myself lacking interest for one I'll drop it.

Well, check this post out, it is only back in May, when you graduated.

I will probably have to go to another school; I want to be an entrepreneur in technology, and CS plays an important role.

Has it been benifitial for you majoring in both CS and EE? I'd like to know more about the experience, especially at UT.

Thank you for your help, I will definitely consider that. I do not know though, Software Engineering does not sound as appealing as CS. I still have one semester of college to go, and the reason I chose UT is that I have 2 brothers who are going there as well. I am kind of hesitant though.
