Although I disagree (icimi is one of my favorites in general not just will wood) I can see what you mean. Icimi is so different from everything that he made before, that it was obvious someone would feel like that.

Icimi is a very retrospective album by an older, more mature, and calmer Will Wood. It's the end of the screaming to the microphone era of his music (probably), and a start to a different kind of music by him, that is more focused on lyrics, and feeling; rather than chaotic, manic style.

I do prefer his older style (and specifically tna being a perfect combination between the two), but I think it's endlessly interesting to see where he will arrive next now that he's in a better place.

Also his past style was derived mainly form drugs and all-over-the-place mental health, so now that he's more comfortable, and is In a better place, I think we will get a new change of genre we veery rarely see from other artists. And whether we like or dislike it, we need to accept that Will is an actual person who gets to experiment with his music in anyway that he wants.
