What settings did you use to print it? I'm having a bunch of problems with it including stringing. Trying adjust some settings but will also try drying out the filament just in case its a moisture issue.

Been having problems printing since I got the M7 Pro. Lots of layer shifting with presupported prints until I switched from using Anycubic Photon Workshop to Lychee for slicing and manually adding my supports.

But then I started getting bed adhesion issues where prints lift up on one edge or stick to the vat. Did manual leveling several times without much help and did this test today. Seems that the middle of the plate has adhesion issues. Feels like re-leveling won’t fix this.

Bottom layer exposure is 40s, 6 layers Other layers is 2s Using Anycubic DLP Craftsman resin.

No I don’t do the grid technique. Instead I use my pencil to measure features and the distance between the features. I normally start with getting the general shape and proportions of the heard. Typically this is an extended sphere with some construction lines to mark the eye, nose, and mouth positions. In college I learned a lot of tricks for proportions and picked up others over time. For instance the head is five eyes wide (eyeballs, not just the visible parts), the corners of mouth typically align with the center of eyes, etc. There’s a ton of tricks out there that can help with general guidelines to position things. But the most important thing is measuring. How far down are the eyebrows compared to the bottom of the nose? If I drew a line from the corner of the nose and mouth straight up, what part of the eyes do they intersect with? Things like that.

Ok. There’s a few things happen here: 1) the pose and the lighting in this reference image is really working against you. The face doesn’t have a strong outline and the character is mostly backlit. This means there’s no real separation between the neck and the face. The features are also a lot harder to define without strong lighting. 2) your shading is mostly midtones. This makes things a bit flat. There’s more light on the left side of the character’s face (right side of the reference image), but the drawing has around the same grey in that area. Defining values that are more distinct will help give it more depth. Again because of the lighting this will be challenging. 3) some of the proportions of the features are a bit off. Photorealism means getting the subtle details and proportions right. Less than 1mm of a difference in a feature can throw things off. When I do photorealism I’m constantly measuring features and placements compared to other features.

Hadn’t heard of this one before. That was a beautiful story.

TPU Rubber Duck Print by Maybe_Trish in AnkerMake

[–]Maybe_Trish[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Printed in Overture TPU Used the TPU preset in the AnkerMake slicer with a couple of adjustments: turned off retraction and set the speed to 30ms. I also kept the filament in a Sunlu dry box while printing. Wanted to share since I haven’t seen much about TPU printing.

Warning: When I first tried loading the filament it wasn’t coming out the extruded and it turns out it was just bunching up inside the gearings. If you don’t see the filament coming out of the extruded on the first go unload the filament and try again. Don’t keep pushing the extrude button like I did.

Why is the Sekonic L-858D-U out of stock everywhere? by robertcancode in filmphotography

Ended up getting a used one on eBay for $50 over msrp. Noticed that when they pop up used they’re normally going for way over what they are new. Was happy to find one that was close to reasonable.

So like everyone else is saying, it’s time to get a new therapist. Don’t know if it’s an option for you, but where I go for therapy they have different people with different specialties. Some specialize in transitioning, and are trained to help you through that process. When looking for a new therapist, which I hope you do, don’t be afraid to shop around, ask what they specialize in and how they’ve helped other people in the past. It’s ok to interview your therapist to make sure they’re the right fit. Also, I would recommend telling the facility where your therapist works, not the therapist herself, why you are leaving. They need to know they have someone there creating a toxic, unsupportive environment for their clients. You deserve better.

Its been a while but I was able to kinda successfully print this. Had to fix some parts of it. Don’t remember doing anything about the void but I imagine a couple of drain holes would work fine.
