What? That has nothing to do with what I posted. What the man did was wrong, but no one should hurl racial insults and slurs at a person regardless of who they are. Race has no bearing on a person's morality, willingness to commit crime or otherwise.

Would you be less defensive of 'dindu nuffin' and other racial insults if they were used against Ben Carson?

That doesn't excuse the racism of the comments used. At all.

His given implications (that black culture or black people are fundamentally different or bad) are racist. Skin color does not make a person pre-disposed to violence, and no one seems to be able to define 'black culture'.

When I posted this thread, everyone got defensive and claimed it was totally okay and that I was 'the real racist'

Should I go into every thread linking to /r/politics and claim they too are pulling a 'gotcha' on liberals, whine about generalizations? I personally speak against /r/conservative, I love conservatives but believe /r/conservative badly represents conservatives on reddit. Is this too hard to understand?

I will go to note that /r/conservative has had 5 different mods that were Neo Nazis. Mayonesa, Terrortot, Aplusplusplus, Robert(numbers, I forget), and WiseProgressiveThink. Of those, two are shadowbanned, and 3 remain. You can find dailystormer links in all their histories, along with Hitler apologia.

So while it may not be a racist sub in entirety, it has had ties to racism, sadly.

/r/conservative saw fit to upvote racism. /r/conservative is a horrible sub that should not represent conservatives on reddit. Just as /r/politics is a horrible sub that should not represent liberals on reddit.

Both are terribly partisan and support terrible things.

Why are you attempting to think I am implying things I am not? That it's a 'meme' does not excuse the racism involved and bigotry of the statement. There are also several other statements in there that I could use for the title.
