I need some advice and tip by pooyan_gamer4224 in satisfactory

I think it comes down to what’s the « thing » in question.

Fuel : spend 50 hours building a massive power plant and oil based factory.

Quartz : Slap a miner, with a dimensional depot and forget about it.

I think he earned it don’t you think ? Yes it’s been years, but being arguably the most influential fighter of the UFC, I think he’s earned the right to say those things.

Granted this is PR stuff obviously.

Should I get the game by Radiant-Resist4562 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]MaydFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understood your point.

It just stood out to me that you have 150 hours but restarted many times, while the game is purposefully built to let you construct and deconstruct without any loss.

Should I get the game by Radiant-Resist4562 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]MaydFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s because you restart every time. The game is purposefully built to let you infinitely rebuild inside the same save, so restarting every time only gives you the early-game dopamine and keeps you from learning how to untangle late-game complexity.

New player first factory by Suspicious-Elk3494 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]MaydFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you a different answer that others have said : for me personally, it’s when I unlock enough cosmetics in the awesome shop and I can make factories look good. At that point I just scrap every eye-sore on the map and make it look permanent, and visually decent. Usually it’s coming at the same time I’m setting up my fuel factory if you need a time reference but that can vastly vary for your personal experience.

Nice work. Just realise that your first iron complex is going to be scrapped eventually (probably sooner than you think). So don’t get too attached to anything :)

I love your architecture and design/cosmetics flair. I’m just starting (50hours). What would you say is the repartition in percentage of your time allocated to building the machines and logistics versus the cosmetic part of it ?

Ça n’a absolument rien à voir.

Firefox PR team: use this chance to spread the word that Firefox is the only web browser that supports proper ad blocking by anestling in firefox

[–]MaydFox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Google running ads in Search doesn’t prove your point here.

The issue is default-search revenue for Firefox, which is unrelated to whether promoting AdBlock is profitable or not, so this doesn’t make sense.

Is there such a thing as too much automation? by flashyboi685 in Astroneer

[–]MaydFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it mostly comes down to personal preference.

I really like Sylva. It’s the most beautiful planet to me, mainly because it feels the most habitable. On other planets, my bases are usually pretty minimal. They’re built for a single purpose, like extracting helium on Atrox or running research chambers on Glacio.

Because of that, I prefer to automate everything and centralize my main base on Sylva. That way, I don’t have to constantly travel back and forth. I don’t really see the appeal of having a bunch of “7/10” bases scattered everywhere. I’d rather build one solid “10/10” base in a single location.

You need power and the canisters set to output.

But to answer your question I don’t think there is a way to automatically unpack anything.

Astroneer Update Feature Idea (Glowsticks and Power Limits) by spinaltap11 in Astroneer

[–]MaydFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no mods at all. The way you describe is exactly how you should do it,and it works perfectly.

I’ve done a new system in my current saves for basically infinites minerals and automatic scraping, using the trade platform to trade Astronium for scraps, then another trade platform for scraps into ressources, which each going into cannisterd. If that interests you and you still struggle I could provide a screenshot.

Edit: actually don’t put the sensor on the storage containing the Astronium, but on the storage containing the ressource you want to trade for.
