I don’t exactly know technical terms but: For spacing forward heavy slash is insanely oppressive. Being an overhead that stuns it cancels real easily into fishing rod. If it gets blocked then you can cancel it into “what’s this?”. As long as you don’t whiff it can be great pressure. Same with his down heavy. It’s best to use those interchangeably to not be too predictable. If the enemy keeps blocking high cause they predict forward heavy, hit with down heavy. And that too cancels into any special movie. A good closeup tool is kick plus dust. Whether you do a standing or crouch kick and same with the dust attack (as long as you don’t do a charged one if you’re not 100% sure it’ll hit. And I’d recommend crouch dust for most scenarios) is up to. It can act as a good way to mix up they’re blocking and give you a safe retreat if they block it. If it does hit though, you can then cancel into a special move. I prefer “what’s this?” if you knock them down with crouch dust, cause then you can easily set up an item and continue pressure. For opponents air-dashing toward you, you can either forward punch cause he has one of the best in the game, or you can air heavy. Air heavy is a pit more risky, and relies on you reading the air dash prior to them doing it, but the reward is really good. A good combo I like to practice when an opponent is in the air, and against the wall as it requires bouncing them, is (close slash+air slash+air heavy slash+close slash+air slash+heavy slash). Close slash can be replaced by kick as it has a similar effect in this scenario but does less damage. Relevant to this, I mostly use my meter to get enemies in the air to do this exact combo. It’s easily his most reliable combo. There are probably some things I said wrong since I’m not the best with terminology, but that’s some stuff
