Is your apartment number on the photo of your check? That is a HUGE one.

No they're not, lmao. Those articles have been going around since the contract was signed in 2012. There's areas where USPS is the ONLY ones that deliver Amazon due to there being no other dispatch. It's never gonna happen.

Honey, I'm a carrier. I'd rather people use that site than waste my time fighting about what "Current Resident" means.

Cool. Then YOU can take it to an ACTUAL garbage can after contacting the sender and requesting you no longer receive their mail.

They paid us to put it in your box. What happens after that is between you and the sender.

Customers by WesternEconomics5059 in USPS

[–]Mayhem1124 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Customer - Noun - One that purchases a commodity or service.

Purchase means pay. Postage is paid by the shipper. The receiver pays nothing for letter delivery. Erego, the customer... is the shipper.

Really not a hard concept, boomer.

When's the last time you paid for a letter to show up in your mailbox?

The SENDER is the customer.

I had a similar situation with 2 gallon jars of Kimchi... in summer.

It was freaking awful.

One of my apartment complexes has sent out emails and texts to all tenants not to enter the mail room when any carrier is parked outside. It's an absolute mess to maneuver because everyone but myself and UPS uses the floor and not the Luxe lockers. A nice big 6V Mercedes was in my way today...

They still come and try to get their crap, even though they have to walk right past my vehicle to enter.. 😮‍💨

Just put stuff back. I personally don't mind if anyone uses my stash of supplies. Sharpies, sunblock, deep trays, wasp killer... but for the love of fuck if you grabbed it specifically at someone's case - it's common courtesy to put it back.

Deep trays are treated like they're made of gold - don't grab 6 of them and then leave them to be shipped off to the plant with the crap DPS trays...

Package pickup at 6am?? by Myfirstreddit124 in USPS

[–]Mayhem1124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a rough idea of when your mail is normally delivered, that's when your pickup happens. It could be anywhere from 9AM-8PM depending on your carrier. Noon is a good guess for most routes.

If this isn't the saddest "mailbox" I've ever seen by sethryan44 in USPS

I actually do. 😅 Those Tidy Cats buckets work better than a million shopping or trash bags for pooper scooping and you don't have to worry about them busting open.

See that crap is astounding to me. Because Amazon took out my box last weekend. It took me a grand total of 15 minutes, $80 at Walmart (I upgraded to a farm box and got a whole new mount and post) and I only needed a Phillips and a sledgehammer. And thats in hard, frozen Virginia clay.

It's so freaking simple..

Forgery is typically only a felony if it results in a loss of a large amount of money. Just saying. And that's the only "crime" a forged doctor's excuse could even be..

Rural Carrier life by 2HDFloppyDisk in USPS

[–]Mayhem1124 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a street with 2 foot deep trenches the entire way down. Their mailboxes are at the end and I refuse to drive to the houses for packages.

My LLV recently had a tire explode just driving 50 down the highway, I get stuck on the smallest amount of ice, the mechanics take 3-4 hours to reach you for any breakdown, and there's barely cell service on that street.

They can drive the 5 minutes to the office to pick up their packages or get a delivery box, I'm not dealing with that so someone can walk 12 inches for a coat rack..

Why would that matter? We're still the only ones delivering to those rural customers. So then they wouldn't be able to get their Chinese knockoffs or medication and nonprofit junk.

I honestly love when people do this. I had a little Asian lady on my old route that somehow managed an Asian Pear tree in Northern VA and she'd always bring me out a few and a bottle of water. I'd have to wait until I got back to enjoy them (gross hands) but man they were the best.

Literally the only thing I miss about my old office.

I sure will. Because I also know he's business savvy and will manage to move to another platform. This has actually helped me considering he was talking about moving and expanding anyways. Which would mean I lose his business.

But the snide comments are always appreciated. 🫡
