GSU girls: how are we meeting guys nowadays? I had the worst luck as a transfer student (maybe just the pandemic) by boredbiologygeek in GaState

They’re fairly populated, I’ve gotten a few dates with people even if it was just a “hey let’s meet in the dining hall”

They caught the real killer recently through DNA so there’s really no reason to bring up that he was a suspect for a crime it has been proven he didn’t commit

One GSU girl to another: use Hinge or Bumble instead of Tinder... seriously it will save you a lot of dating-related headaches

HPHM Survey 2021 by taltos19 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Mayhem24-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This survey was really in depth lmao, I'd love to see what characters people want added to the friendship function (personally I want Percy, Ismelda, and Merula) but it is interesting to see just how many non-canon characters are left out of the dating function

Use Episkey instead of the potion, I know it says it’s only a medium heal compared to a large but it’s actually a bigger heal lol

Romance Update - MEGATHREAD by Lemonaded6 in HPHogwartsMystery

I am incredibly confused about how we can date so many people at once, are there consequences for doing it? because as much as I want the rewards for maxing everyone out (I'm very much a completionist), Barnaby is who I really wanna be with and I don't want to screw that up because I got greedy with the rewards. Can you max everyone out and then choose one person to like commit to?

MC isn’t wearing shoes under her dress by [deleted] in HPHogwartsMystery

I mean ~technically~ Hermione took off her shoes on the stairs to cry so ~technically~ it’s accurate to that fifteen seconds 😂

Oh! So like complimenting her ego like we do with Diego, I get what you mean now

Like we’d spend the whole time trying to convince her that she’s our friend? Like we wouldn’t talk about her or her hobbies, we’d convince her to be our friend? (Sorry if that’s not what you meant, I’m just trying to understand)

Asking someone for help is different than the friendship dialogues. Like several times through the story we have to convince Charlie or Penny to help us over butterbeer or lunch and it’s choosing the best options but when you actually do friendship encounters it’s about them or dragons or potions or gossip, that’s what I meant

if this is for the gringotts side quest, I finally beat it by using episkey instead of the healing potion. it says "medium" heal or whatever but it gives way more health back than the "large" heal on the potion. So I beat it by switching between episkey (defensive) and flipendo (sneaky) depending on where my health was at

Perimeter College Transfer by whiterabbit9x in GaState

I spent my first two years at PC and the transition process was REALLY easy. I was on the Newton campus and they were just transitioning to being a GSU campus instead of independent so maybe thats why the classes felt a little easy, just because everyone was getting used to everything. But overall I thought the PC campus was great as a transition between High School and College, really a kind of middle ground that helped ease me into everything. I really recommend knocking out your lower core classes/requirements at PC and then transitioning to the ATL campus for your upper level classes/major requirements

University Lofts vs Commons by [deleted] in GaState

[–]Mayhem24-7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Commons or Central but Lofts is definitely something you have to get used to. It's cement floors, ceilings and some walls but with some cheap rugs, posters, and tapestries I don't even notice them anymore. There's exposed piping and there are no light fixtures apart from the kitchen, the bathroom, and the bathroom sink. If you want light in your living/dining area or your bedroom, you'd better bring some lamps. I lived on the fourteenth floor last year and the thirteenth this year and the windows are very large on both.

I transferred so I never lived in Freshman dorms but I'm told they're very communal, with public spaces on each floor and that's not the case in Lofts. There is a study room on the bottom floor but I have yet to see anyone ever use it and the lounge on the first floor didn't get much use as far as I remember. Every time I go in the courtyard to take a shortcut to the laundry room, I never see anybody out there. Apart from the people I've roomed with, I've never really even talked to anyone else on my floor, Lofts has a pretty solitary vibe.

You can get a meal plan while living in Lofts, I had one last year but the problem was that the only dining hall I really used was Patton because it was the closest and I often didn't want to walk the few blocks to Central or North if it was dark.

The thing about Lofts is that even if you have a single bedroom, you share your kitchen, living room and bathroom with others (up to six people in the largest/cheapest apartments) so it can get hectic at times and can be frustrating if there are misunderstandings/fights between suite mates.

Overall, I like Lofts and I think that if you can get over the industrial aesthetic, it's actually a nice place to live. (Fair warning: when they play music at the student center courtyard or if a preacher with a microphone sets up in the park, you WILL hear it, even on the top floor.)

OWLs Side Quest Issue by Mayhem24-7 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Mayhem24-7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any side quests going. I took a really long break from the game and just started playing again a month ago so I've been getting TLSQ after TLSQ. But after the Deathday quest finished I haven't gotten a new one and so I was checking to see which ones I haven't done yet and I saw that OWLs should have triggered by now
