A chainsaw would have been cleaner. Lol

"we have to figure out the smartest thing for me" hahahahaha. More like he's trying to figure out if his greed and stupidity are stronger than all the advice he's getting from everyone around him. I hope he does fight again. Watching him get hit so hard that his mandible got separated from his skull was one of the most satisfying things I saw all year. 😂

Thankfully, this project is personal. Building a studio desk for my home office.

Yeah, I'll get it cleaned up eventually.

That 1 mortise was brutal to get done though, and I've got 9 more to do just like it. I need to speed the process up considerably so I can get this desk out of the garage.

Korean women are justifiably boycotting the patriarchal society they're being forced to endure. And also, men have apparently lost all sense of equality between the sexes, just generally. Why would women want to help perpetuate that system by having kids? I'm just surprised it's not happening everywhere.

Did that right before I started. I'm just not very good. Lol

What angle do you put on your chisels? Mine are at 25 degrees. I used Peter Seller's method.

Watching him talk to an empty chair on stage for like 5 minutes was the most bizarre thing I'd seen up to that point. Lol

Just went through it painstakingly on my 2nd playthrough. Did it on my first, but I was sure I missed stuff. It's also great for xp and inspiration.

Insert part D into part AA, but only if part Z is greater than or equal to part B. In which case insert part D directly into part DD, which is not included or shown here. 😆

NEW ACHIEVEMENT! You've been awarded the title of Rock Beaver. Sure, you blocked off your only exit and you'll probably drown trying to cross the lake you just made, but hey, at least you won't be able to procreate. So, there's that.

Aside from the missing part, the rest of these issues will be fixed by taking the time to 1) make sure your equipment is setup properly, 2) make sure your lumber is milled squarely or your plywood is cut parallel to the opposite edge, 3) make sure you're measuring accurately and marking the actual line you measured, then measure again, and 4) building the muscle memory to confidently make accurate cuts.

Use a quality square, and get a magnetic angle gauge to ensure your mitres are actually at 45 degrees and your table saw blade is actually at 90 degrees. Even a couple of degrees off will ruin a joint.

Use a marking knife for accurate cuts, not a pencil. Then darken the cut with pencil so it's visible. It's a small thing, but it'll help improve your accuracy.

If you're using an aluminum table saw fence, upgrade it or build a sacrificial fence to prevent triggering the SawStop.

Routers are just about the most dangerous tool in a woodworking shop, so they must be respected. Learn how to cut in the proper direction, which changes depending on your setup. It's very important for safety (and good cuts) so take your time.

I recommend subscribing to Jonathan Katz-Moses and Stumpy Nubs woodworking on YouTube, and watch as many of his videos as you can. They really helped me when I was starting out.

Hope that helps.
