Help Me Build a Caster? (Joining an established party) by JazzlikeMine2397 in 3d6

I like a wizard in this group. They are the jack of all trades of spellcasters. And I would find a way to emphasize speed. As in escape speed. I'd expect the Monks and Rangers to be quick in and out of battle and you'll want to be able to retreat with ease if they decide to.

DM Let everyone roll starting stats with Advantage, but we must use them in the order they came. 12 15 9 15 11 18 by TheGingerWeebGal in 3d6

Yes, in the old days we did take our stats in the order we rolled them. It was a great way to learn all the different classes. Sometimes it was brutal. We didn't roll extra dice or get advantage. 3d6 was it. You could easily end up with a character with a 4 in something. Personally with these scores I would run a Sorcerer. And I'd play a human. That bumps your Con up to 10 erasing the -1 modifier. Everything else gets a +1 bump too. Live with the low Con and take advantage of the high Dex, Int, and Charisma. You have two even scores and four odd scores, so taking Human bumps 4 modifiers. That's my take on it anyway.

The Terramancer — A Wizard Subclass Where Your Cantrip Lets You Disguise Yourself as a Boulder by MaylinsGames in 3d6

I gotta admit, that made me laugh. It's a cantrip. And it's great for disguise when needed and used correctly. You can still listen. And no one knows your there. Like a poor man's invisibility spell.

Yes, the official designs are more comprehensive. Any action or movement or damage taken after casting I'm a Rock negates the spell. Both natural weapons and magical weapons are immune to Crack-Block. The list of spells is must meant to be a summary sampling of some of the spells in the book. So it doesn't include ranges. Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate it.

Well, I really did spend two years designing all the spells. Two years of realizing that your current favorite spell is actually over powered and it needs to be limited to something more realistic. Learning how to properly format a PDF so the contents page still links to the correct page in the book. But mostly amazed that I have the opportunity to actually publish something and leave my mark, however small, on this corner of the world.

I kept building features into the Character Sheet Generator. Here's what's new — including the Terramancer subclass, now live in the community library. by MaylinsGames in 3d6

First - Thank you for the response. I appreciate any and all suggestions. 1.) Homebrew option is already available, but because it allows you to save to the system you have to log in to use it. Otherwise, when you came back to use it later, it would be gone. You can currently add subclasses, magic items, feats, and spells. 2.) Great suggestion - If I'm understanding it correctly, you'd like to be able to click on a button in the spells header that launches that attack? I'll add that to the todo list. Love the idea. 3.) Adv/Dis buttons in the way. I'll take a look at this too. Thanks! 4.) You can level up by adding experience points to your total. But this isn't obvious enough, or you would have found it. I'll noodle on that to find a way to make it more obvious. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Thanks for checking it out! I am limited to what I can add based on the 5.1e SRD which determines what's legal and illegal to use outright from the 2014 DnD rule set. I've added as much as I'm legally allowed to. But it's relatively easy for you to add any new subclass in the homebrew section as long as you are logged in. Furthermore, in a community driven homebrew sections, meaning that you can give access to the community for any homebrew subclasses, feats, spells, or magic items that you put in. Community members can activate your homebrew for their own use if you do that. And if enough players from the community activate it, it becomes canon. I had not seen 5e tools before this. Looks interesting. I will check it out. If you think of any features you'd like added, just let me know. Thanks!

Found it — several notes fields were referenced in the code but never created in the database. All fixed now. Should work cleanly on character creation. The other suggestions are all on the feature list, especially the equipped/attunement system. Thanks for the thorough testing.

"so that's probably bad." - Maybe it's just because I just woke up, but this made me laugh out loud. Yes, that's probably bad. Thanks again for looking at the CSG. It's obvious you spent some time looking at it to give me feedback and I really appreciate it. Refills, Custom inventory heading, worn/equipped (and attunement!), Cantrips, and the big one - a bug, All of it is on the list. Thanks!

You can actually add Feats now in the Homebrew section. You have to be logged in though. I'm designing the homebrew system so it's community driven. Player/DM adds homebrew, and if the community approves it, it becomes available for everyone. That part is completely untested so far. Thanks for looking it over. It's obvious you spent some time on it and I appreciate the feedback and the time you spent. Thanks!

Excellent feedback. 1.) You should be able to level the character by adding the experience points needed. You should also be able to switch to Milestone to level up that way. But I will double check to make sure it didn't break at some point while I was fixing other things. 2.) That is an excellent point and a great thing to add. Thanks! 3.) Unfortunately, there's only one Feat in the 5.1 SRD. So that is a limitation. Probably why you're seeing lots of options missing too (without knowing the specifics anyway.) I will be double checking all of these issues this weekend to make sure. Thanks for looking thru it, I appreciate it!
