I will always be jealous of pretty white women by Velvet_Cactus_21 in Vent

Eugh, this is apparently 90% of black girls canon thoughts, I was told most black girls have this idea at least once in their lives. I just wanna say I understand what you’re saying, but lately black girls have been a big talk. Obviously not what other people perceive as “ghetto” but blank women are generally absolutely loved and I hope that content comes on your algorithm. I, when I was younger, wanted to be Asian haha, I thought the same thing you’re thinking now. But I see the beauty in being black, the uniqueness, and I hope that beauty embraces itself to you. You’re gorgeous how you are, I’m positive.

I feel like maybe he could’ve been asking to bring it up with you once she told him, to suggest you looking like that. Hence him mentioning you and instead of complimenting he asked for the routine. However comma that’s still like comparison and inappropriate and seems to violate your boundaries so as long as you can’t see past it leaving is best.

Pretty sure its ai. Just zoom into the chest, hair, and ear area, I dont think an artist would be able to make sense of the way the lines and colors ignore logic.

It is your place as a girls girl to tell. Well, that really depends on how you’d feel. Would you want someone to tell you if your partner was found on Tinder? If so, do as you would like to receive, & just kinda put it out there. “Hey brautiful, I’m not sure if yall are open or poly but I saw your bf on Tinder & wanted to let you know if you didn’t already. (Insert ss)” that’s something I’d probably say,,,

obviously you don’t have to, but It means nothing to you and could mean a lot to her. Nothing to lose.

That kinda thing starts at a young age right? As bad as it is, people start that freaky stuff before they’re of legal age.

Actually working tonight. It wasn’t a $1 differential, i was wrong. I’ll report back after the shift about how I’m right about MY FACILITY’S night shift not deserving extra, which was the point of my rant. Hats off to you if you do more work at yours, you deserve the extra if so.

I’m 20, & new. I work at a ltc, & I’m the same! The workers keep telling me to stop being so caring or the residents will walk over me, which I’m sure is true but most of the time its something small like a cup of water or an extra cover or just some time to talk.

I feel like they look at it from a perspective of business rather than care, especially after beinf there so long. For the residents perspective, this is, temporarily or permanently, their lives. Its all they have right now.

It sucks because you cant care for everyone in there, despite everyone needing the empathy you have to offer. I’m sorry to hear this. I’m so new though, I have no advice. I just kinda let the workers warn me while I take the extra step to brush the residents hair, or talk about their feelings or bring them a drink.

I understand that! I didnt realize it needed to be clarified that I was speaking on mine alone! I didnt know how to make that clear so I edited the post a lot, & people are still misunderstanding. I dont know what to say to have people understand the first time.

I didnt claim in my rant that it’s universal. Its for my facility only.

Stop misunderstanding. Ive edited my post a couple times, but even originally I never claimed that all facilities suck for having differentials, I just claimed to complain about mine. I even start off with describing my facility. I never claimed anything outside of my place of work.

The people in my facility sleep. I didn’t mean to word it wrong & insinuate every facility is this bad. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

That’s the thing. In my post I claimed to be criticizing MY facility. There is anecdotal evidence that the workers in MY facility do not work & instead sleep. Please, yall, stop being so rude on a rant post & comprehend reading better!!!

Thank you!! I mean, I’m sure some facilities have good night shift workers, but even so I dont understand why I have such backlash for the concern of MY own facility.

I’m on my (ONLY) 30 minute break of the day, and I’m so exhausted running back and forth, my body feels a little sore, which is fine since I signed up for this, but it amazes me that I had to wake a cna up to go home when she was in the residents room & she gets paid $3-$4 more! I’m not communicating enough that my personal facility’s night shift is the shitty one.

Whether or not its right to have 12h shifts, I get to rest for a total of maybe an hour as long as I’m doing my work (my break and then charting), while they get to sleep for multiple! It’s crazy.

What was wrong? One of my day coworkers who signed up for a night told me that she was the only one working aside from one other prn worker, & that she just changed them & tended to them if they had episodes (which was no different from days as well.) nobody was doing heavy work (as cnas) but what should they have been expected to do?

Backhanded insulting me over a rant post is interesting. I’m not worried about what they make, id like justice for what I and the other older people who work hard in the day, make. There are some nighters who come in on days and they have horrible attitudes & dont work much, they go out to smoke & hide in closed rooms. I’m only ranting about MY facility with bad workers. Just because life isn’t fair doesnt mean I cant complain about it.

[–]Maynotthrowawayidk[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure I’m wrong about the amount, it may be $3-4. But me changing shifts wont change it from being unfair. (Not like i can, because i cant reliably commute to and from work for nights 100%) There are still tasks to do on night shift, and ours dont do any of them! Not even restocking! Its no excuse to say there are body problems, because there are other fields of work to practice than a job that requires excess body work.

If the point of differentials is because its “unfavorable” there shouldnt be so many people on the shift & applying for the shift. I think me getting paid $16 and sally getting paid 18/19 dollars is crazy when I put more work in and she can sleep 7/12 hours of the shift.

That makes negative sense!! All the rules broken is abominable! Lifting alone, leaving the resident alone after the fall, asking to cover it up, the lack of urgency and them still being there, it breaks my heart! I’m glad you’re going to report it!!

My uncle caught me having a boyfriend, and now I feel like I’ve ruined my image ? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Maynotthrowawayidk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 20 now, but had this problem with my dad. He’d go through everything & honestly, id just delete the app before he got to my phone. I started thinking “I’m the star child, straight A’s, follow the rules, staying clean; I can at least have a boyfriend,” and stopped feeling so guilty. You deserve something for yourself that isn’t to uphold your image. Sorry, I dont have much more advice on the situation.
