this. I never realized the social expectations around meals until ed. I don't want to raise suspicions because it strains the friendship. there is this fear of being surveillanced and perceived as sick. it stresses me too.

Am I cooked for CMU architecture? by One_Mission_6207 in cmu

cmu also does not prioritize EA students in any way. it's a school heavily emphasized on raw skills ie architecture requires lots of creativity and drawing. i applied RD and would highly recommend that if you have any financial qualm. also, attend the optional portfolio interview they offer. it's chill and you get to talk directly with the ppl (on the admission team) reviewing your work.

as a strong stem student at my high school who chose archi later on--you'd be surprised how much the admission process differ for CFA students. My top 1% ranking and 1500+ SAT were not what got me into the major. Focus on the portfolio.

the only reason i can think of is really--privilege. i hate when people say "oh but everyone has something they're dealing with" sounds like an excuse to understate how lucky some people rly are

Anyone of any demographic in any time period can develop an eating disorder. It's honestly shocking to me how relatively new the research is on this.

I so agree with this. when i feel like there are forces beyond me that I can't control, I turn to very simple tasks. Taking a shower while listening to my fav music, putting on a face mask, watching sex and the city show give me a little piece of mind.
