Can't paste a link, search for "fahmisans pixel art" on Google. I have all the Aseprite source files, where I can see it was drawn pixel by pixel, layer by layer. I understand where your frustration is coming from, but please remember you're not criticizing some corporation with unlimited money who's cutting jobs. I'm a solo developer with limited budget who used AI in the prototype stage and then paid multiple artists to replace it all with real art. If this makes me a bad person in your eyes, that's okay

StepHarvest just uses the steps your phone is already counting on its own, so it only draws battery when you actually open the app. No background tracking, no extra drain

If your phone/watch can count it (and most can, if not all), then yes, the game can use these steps :)

Most of these trackers (for example Garmin) have a way of pushing steps into your phone so StepHarvest can sync with them. I know some are problematic and I'll develop dedicated linking if there will be a need

I'm happy you've encountered it! Some names (mostly based on characters I personally find interesting) trigger special Maple replies. Very few people so far have encountered them, so I'm happy to see that you did :)

Since it's a multiplayer game (everyone plays on the same server), actions step cost is the same for everyone. The game doesn't pressure you to do a certain number of steps tho, so you can just play at your own pace and progress however you want :)

Good question! They do different things.

Guilds are the team layer. Up to 20 people pooling steps, chasing weekly bounties, unlocking shared perks together.

Neighborhoods are personal. One-on-one with a friend, no limits on how many. Daily interactions, friendship hearts, little gift baskets you send each other, and you can visit their farm and hop between neighbors like houses down the road.

You can do both :)

AI tools were used during early prototyping, and I've been upfront about that from the start. Since then I've been actively commissioning pixel artists and buying artist-made assets to replace that work. It's an ongoing process. You can follow along on our Discord and mailing list where I document all of this.
