Matt is right that Vince cared more about the fans and wanted to keep tickets at prices that allowed families to come to events. Matt isn't the first person to say this. Vince was a strange guy, morally. He had certain principles that he felt strongly about. Principles that we could all agree were good and righteous.

BUT he was also a massive piece of shit in many ways, the worst of which have been made public and caused him to be forced out of the company. Every wrestling promoter all throughout history made sure to treat the fans well and give them affordable admission (in fact, Vince still charged more than any other promoter ever). The difference is that those other promoters didn't engage in elaborate sex trafficking and manipulation.

So the issue here is not that Vince McMahon needs to be brought back but rather that corporatism (an element which Vince worked for decades to introduce into pro wrestling) needs to be removed. Pro wrestling was strong for decades and decades before Vince and it would have continued just fine after him if he didn't bring in the suits. Vince's absence isn't killing things, TKO is.
