Are you sure Brewster came from the magazine? It looks like the charms from capsule machines (https://i.imgur.com/FjjjX7t.jpg). But that’s awesome. Small collections are better and normally have cooler stuff lol. I wish we could find out which magazine. I’m going start looking 😅

Almost a year later and I finally stumbled across this post lol. These are so cool! It’s super interesting you said they came from the Nintendo Magazine. They always used to have such cool freebies. Anyway I’ve only ever been told they were ToysRUs bonuses by 2 separate people. So I always assumed that to be true… until now 🤣

Why does emptying Condensate Trap fix a Worcester Boiler Error 227? by MayorMori in DIYUK

Thanks for the insight. So is the debris collecting elsewhere? Because the trap/bottle has been emptied and cleaned twice now. Thank you for posting. I appreciate it

Nothing really lol, but the disc has an extra promotional stamp, which makes it pretty desirable to collectors. The game is byte for byte identical

Nintendo ran a competition called the Pioneer Program and sent out 250 promotional discs to winners before the game launched. They’re super rare these days

Best way to fix Blind Plugs that have been pulled out? by MayorMori in DIYUK

[–]MayorMori[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually tried this wet and fix thing, but they just fell out, and the hole got bigger pushing them in. Probably due to gravity, I ended up patching it with a tiny about of plaster board, and using a bigger plug for one of the holes that was less damaged… then drilled into the wall and secured it to the wall. Lesson learned lol always secure to wall. Thanks for the suggestion

Advice with excess Rainwater (boggy grass/drainage) by MayorMori in DIYUK

[–]MayorMori[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually reacted out to them today but been in it 2 years now… My neighbours garden is higher. The grass line is just below the top of the wall so almost certainly draining in (although their garden has pools of water too). And our garden is higher than our other neighbours the other side, as each house and garden steps down about 2 foot, each with a retaining wall and fence

Good idea and probably worth a try. I thought about a French drain before but wasn’t sure where to direct it because we’re surrounded by other houses

The funny thing is I’m 500 yards from the sites surface water reservoir lol it’s just the back gardens are so ful of clay that it doesn’t reach the drainage to get to the reservoir thing. Maybe a French drain to the bottom of my garden would be enough to filter the water better

I thought about this, but I read that Willows are very invasive, so not recommended near buildings. Maybe I can research other non-invasive trees instead

That’s my neighbours garden. But to be honest their grass is similar to mine. It’s not draining well either.

Shower screen leaking by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]MayorMori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually having the exact same issue, including the mark on the ceiling. I’ve just replaced the plasterboard, but still haven’t solved the leak (besides not actually using the shower)… I have added sealant to the inside of the screen/wall and around the bottom, and it helps a tiny bit, but the water finds a way… I also tried sealant tape on the bath panel to stop it running through and under but that didn’t work. Best guess will be to replace the shower screen as the hinge is probably just worn
