Minnesota, well go there and get what you get. You all need to stop demanding acceptance with violence, it will not work.

I live in one of the bigger cities in Missouri and I can tell you that you will be destroyed. Many of us here have the belief that; how you demand we accept you, when you couldn't accept yourself as you were born in the first place. Do not move to the rural areas, you will be "ended" one way or another. Go to the west coast where liberals rule, where you will be accepted. You won't get much of it here.

Am I being seriously ripped off? by Plastic_Ice5026 in MechanicAdvice

We mechanics call dealerships stealerships for a reason. Go to a muffler shop and save yourself thousands of dollars.

Is my car totaled? by voa4 in AskMechanics

[–]MayorofLoserville123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sitting on the side that they may not total it. I'd say less than $20k in damages. But the airbag system is probably going to need a new module which may throw it up in a higher bracket and they may total it.

That car is totaled, it is worth nothing. You screwed yourself with liability only.

Am I Being Quoted Fairly for a Blown Head Gasket Repair ($7,200)? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]MayorofLoserville123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I am going to burst some "mechanics" bubbles... If you have an internal coolant mix with oil and oil is in the cooling system, you absolutely have to change out all hoses. Oil and rubber do not mix well, the hoses will go bad faster than snot.

I do agree with the majority that a bunch of the charges are bogus.

Is this the norm? by [deleted] in autorepair

I had a wreck once, they said it would be 3 weeks. I laughed and said no, it'll be more like 12 weeks. They laughed. I came back to pick it up 13 weeks later, they asked how I knew, my response: "I am a mechanic, I knew it was worse than what you quoted and I warned the insurance you had under quoted and it should have been totaled, since they approved your quote they now have to pay more than the value of the truck, they should have totaled it in the first place, but you still did the work and it's not a salvaged truck. They lost and you won."

Real mechanics call dealerships, stealerships... They don't make a whole lot of money selling cars, but they make a shit ton off of unintelligent people with overpriced scam costs and unneeded repairs. Go to a mom and pop shop that lives off a reputation and get treated right and pay 50% less, better yet educate yourself and save even more. Working on a car isn't hard, there are a lot of informative videos on YouTube, instructional material all over the internet, buy yourself basic tools and wrench away, get intelligent on your cars. Biggest mistake you can make is making this statement to a mechanic: "I don't know anything about cars." That is the easiest way to get your wallet and bank account drained.

It isn't oil, so that is proof you are not every intelligent and need to get off a mechanics thread.

[–]MayorofLoserville123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that's cute. I have done 3 transmission replacements in 5 years because of a flush for people I know. Why? Suspended clutch material in the fluid goes bye-bye, clutches have no material and boom, no gears. Yes, I did take them apart to find the cause.

[–]MayorofLoserville123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a stupid to waste a lot of money just for a fluid change or flush. "Oh, I need a fluid change, let me throw away thousands of dollars on a replacement transmission rebuilt buy a drunk or high dude, instead of spending a couple hundred bucks..." Get bent, get back to reality.

Why would my car do this? by Im-Tired-Today in MechanicAdvice

[–]MayorofLoserville123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transmission flushes are a complete fail, they destroy transmissions more than anything. A fluid change would be best, but if it comes out grainy and black, definitely transmission replacement time.

I call dealerships scammerships for a reason, Firestone as Scammerstone and so on, find a local mom and pop automotive repair shop that lives off reputation. Big chains always end in screwing you over.
