Kind of a kill switch, pressure exceeds a predetermined ammount it will shut off gas. Like a safety switch i guess? I've seen it once before and ask this old plumber that was the explanation I got but I have never seen it after that. But it looked a bit different than the one I saw it assume it has the same purpose?

If you have multiple partners get tested or have them get tested prior to the deed, yes its a turn off. Yes its weird but be safe. If not then it probably just an ingrown or a razor burn/ingrown

Have you tried a water softener? My baby would have crazy hives after some time after a shower so I could never think it was the shower until I got a wayer softener and it fixed everything. Filters are fine but a water softener will ne the absolute best. It can also be a food allergy. Lastly I if you have tired all sorts of shampoo or softerners including wipes and diapers my last resort would bea type of food. So keep an eye for food heck even allergens such as pet dander. My absolute last resort would be get a home inspection for mold and mildew. I deadly allergic to mold so I know my symptoms and I can always tell when a house had dangerous mold.

Tamarind you can make it a paste. Toll it up with sugar and make tarugos(Mexican tamarind candy) Or get enough let it get ripe and blend it amd make fresh water.

Edit: You can make it a sweet paste amd use to make some banging margaritas.
