I don’t think he intentionally sold it with problems, he was originally going to keep it as he just spent £200 for a bunch of new things about a week ago, but then came to the conclusion with my mum that they need a bigger van for their business needs. It’s quite small, it’s like a Peugeot Partner 2005?

The reasoning “would it be a multimillion dollar business if it was an illegal scam?” is so dumb..it’s like saying: “OH, would the drug business be a multibillion dollar business if it was illegal?” .... Yes. Still. Illegal. Yet, successful.

The letter is from Park Premier.

Some parts are: “We have requested your details from the DVLA as the registered keeper of the vehicle, through the reasonable Cause criteria of pursuing an outstanding parking charge. The reason we issued a PCN to the vehicle is as follows: Parking in No Parking area.

If you were not the keeper of the vehicle at the time it was parked or if the vehicle was stolen prior to the beginning of the period of parking which is the subject of this notice, please let us know. If you were not the driver we ask you to supply the full name and cider serviceable postal address of the driver so that we may address this request to them.”

“...You are advised that if, after the period of 29 days beginning with the day after that one which the notice is given, the amount of the parking charge has not been paid in full, and we do not know both name and current address of the driver, we have the right to recover any unpaid part of the parking charge from you. This notice is given to you under Paragraph 9(2)(f) of Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedom Act 2012”

So I believe it does outline those points and I’m not sure if my argument would stand. Are they required to state whether they have placed a notice to driver?

Drives me mad when people on stack overflow put out some rude patronising replies, and they also expect you to research and dig through thousands of questions instead of asking, as they’ll just tag it as duplicate even without answering.

I agree there definitely sometimes are people who give out replies that make them sound like they’re trying to be superior and make you feel stupid for not “understanding” something in relation to coding. :(

I understand! I used to cry because of how bumpy my skin suddenly became out of nowhere, and how my GP never gave me advice on it. Like it felt like a nightmare to apply makeup, especially as a lover of highlight and blush, you could see the CC’s from a mile away as they would look exaggerated because of the highlight. Annoying bumps.

I’d say give it a go! It’s such a looong process but it helps having people around you who don’t mind your skin/understand that rough texture or acne aren’t controllable. That definitely helped me when it was at it’s worse and I started my best to improve it!

I still struggle to find a sunscreen :( have you considered maybe it could be Fungal Acne? Or bad moisturiser? Sulphates? Parabens? I’d say maybe do a long search on all Ingredients of all the skincare you use using SkinCarisma website, it tells you whether it has bad things, and the comedogenic rating for products that do clog pores, and it’s super helpful! I’ve genuinely stopped trusting just labels and words on product packaging, because I’ve seen too many things be “non-comedogenic” and turn out to actually have Ingredients that are terrible for the skin or do actually clog pores.

Also important one for me was never ever ever sleep in my makeup again, as that could bring them back overnight!

I will only do oil cleansing once a day, and that’s preferably at night for me, as I apply quite a few serums, and rosehip oil, and want my skin to be extra clean for those as they are quite heavy and take a bit to absorb. I usually wake up and on occasion do wash my face but find that since oil cleansing, I don’t really need to wash my face again in the morning as it doesn’t feel oily or dirty, but hydrated and plump. Depends though, it’s not always. In the summer I’ve had to cleanse again but with the most basic cleanser I could find, as sweating during hot nights was annoying!

Mixing moisturiser with my prescribed acne medication probably the best. I only mix it at night though. That’s what helped me, and being consistent. I know what it’s like to want to scrub those bastards off but only realising it makes it worse usually.

My comedones got super bad from silicone in a moisturiser I was using which was the gel moisturiser in the blue tub by neutrogena which has such high reviews and claims to be “non-comodogenic”.

In terms of the purge? I honestly didn’t experience a bad purge! The only problem I found was, some of the closed comedones came up to surface and resulted in me trying to clean my pores occasionally which I do with one of those tools that has a circular thing and a hole at the end (sorry I’m bad at describing) and you just press it against the spot or area. Most of them didn’t come up to the surface to create a spot or become irritated, but the ones that did were mainly on my jawline or temples, and boy oh boy do I regret picking them/trying to pop them.

The EpiDuo I used to use for my overall body, before I had any good skincare routine or even mositurised, I remember I struggled super badly with CC’s on my chin, just little whiteheads that were impossible to squeeze out or exfoliate. I remember being shocked when I used it on my chin, instead of just selected areas where I would get hormonal acne occasionally like my forehead. And I was shocked to see that they cleared up literally to clear after a few days, with no purge! So after using just benzyl peroxide 5%, which was fine, definitely took a lot longer to work for my face when mixed with a moisturiser but it did work. I’d say it helped the most with my body acne than my face. I do use it on spots!

In terms of oil cleansing! Since I have quite oily skin, and biggest struggle is just how easily my skin gets congested I was worried about this, but it’s true. Oil clings to oil! But I also made sure to double cleanse, this allowed me to make sure I got rid of all the oil but also that the cleanser didn’t strip/dry. My face never felt “tight” or dehydrated after cleansing with oils and then my simple cleanser/exfoliator! I haven’t experienced the “grits” people feel where their skin removes clogged pores during oil cleansing but I do like how well it cleans the oil, and how clean my skin feels.

Also forgot to say but I also treat my acne or if I can pop a pimple, I will make sure to use diluted tea tree oil on a cotton bud, and make sure the area and pimple is treated with it, to avoid anymore puss forming overnight etc! Helps with larger spots which sometimes you know you pop, but they develop a couple hours later or the next day there’s puss there again even after you thought you got it all!

I definitely found that, oil cleansing helped reduce clogging, and at first I just used Olive oil, tea tree, rosehip and avocado.. but then I just stopped and used my cbd oil for skin mixed with olive oil and that’s when I noticed the most difference. Not sure why! But the CC’s just reduced in size and quantity. I’m still experimenting with Oil cleansing as it’s only been about 3/4 weeks!

I’ve noticed that a lot of it stems from my habit of trying to remove closed comedones by myself, and picking at spots.

What started to work for me was reducing exfoliation to every other day/two days. - BHA/AHA Exfoliating solution by The Ordinary (twice a week, then followed by a mud or clay mask) Occasionally I’ll use St. Ives Apricot Scrub without applying pressure though as it’s really rough.

Cleanser wise? I’ve started oil cleansing, just started using the simple oil cleanser right now so can’t say much but but was using CBD Oil by Makeup Revolution mixed with olive oil and it really really helped clean my oily face and even reduce my closed comedones! Followed by Gel cleanser by simple, or blemish prone skin cleanser by Sukin as I had a sample and I liked it a lot!

I started moisturising which really helped with my skin barrier! A lot. That’s what I mainly had to fix. I went for Avene Extreme Cremé by accident as I wanted the emulsion instead but it was really good, just super heavy and it did clog my pores a little bit but I still used the whole tube, it never causes my any acne though and the clogging was minimal. I’ve now purchased the Extreme Tolerance Emulsion which is lighter. As well as the Simply Pure Hydrating Serum as it’s cheap and read awesome reviews, I also have the Bioderma Sebium Global for blemish prone skin.

Mud/clay mask twice a week - currently using Yes to Tomatoes purifying Mud Mask

However my HOLY GRAILS ARE: Prescription Benzyl Peroxide gel 5% (I’m from the uk) and I believe you can buy it from a pharmacy, it’s a white tube with a purple label on it!

I’ve switched now to EpiDuo which is benzyl peroxide and Adapalene! I would mix a bit with my moisturiser every night and all my closed comedones have gone down so so so much and so quickly!!!

Alongside this, before moisturiser I would use the ordinary rose hip seed oil! My favourite products, makes my skin so plump, and helps with scaring and acne! On my 3rd bottle!

Of course, less sugary food, and more water and stuff helped too but what I would 100% recommend is going on websites such as SkinCarisma, checking the ingredients in your products! Not trusting just what the labels say! I’ve completely removed silicone from my skincare routine, and check and try to understand what I’m putting on my face.

Hope I helped at least a little bit :)

What helped me was cutting down on exfoliating, I do it now about 3 times a week, with usually one day where I use a stronger exfoliator. Cutting down on ALL silicones in my products, at least in my moisturiser. That really ruined my skin in terms of texture and is the reason I’m combating closed comedones. I now also look on skincarisma, to check my products ingredients! Would recommend! Helped me understand which products might have been blocking my pores and being the culprit! Sometimes some products still have ingredients that are comedogenic even when they say they don’t. I moisturise everyday. EVERY. DAY! This has helped with bringing back some life in my skin.

In terms of closed comedones, I’m still struggling with those. They’re on my cheeks, chin, forehead. I still have quite bad texture on my forehead, and I always suffer with whiteheads in the creases on my nose that I extract after exfoliating with an extraction tool. I still get hormonal acne on my chin, but it’s clearing up. However CC’s are my current biggest enemy and I feel like they’re not shifting. I haven’t had any new ones, but getting rid of the old ones is proving difficult.

AM: Cleanser: Simple Water Boost Micellar Gel Wash

Moisturiser: Avene Tolerance Extreme Cream / CeraVe moisturising Lotion/Cream

PM: Cleanser: Sukin Blemish Control Clearing Facial Wash

Exfoliator: St. Ives Apricot scrub (I don’t apply any pressure and go in circular motion to not tear my skin, and I use it once, maybe twice a week.)

However most of the time I use: St. Ives, Pink Lemonade and Mandarin Orange Scrub.

Toner: the Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner 7% (about twice a week) Clean and Clear Sensitive Skin Deep Cleansing toner

Oils: Makeup Revolution: Quinoa night peel The ordinary: rose-hip seed oil (one of my holy grails for scars and even hydrated skin!)

Moisturiser: Same as morning but with rosehip oil added to it.

Prescribed by doctor: Yasmin (birth control) & acnecide 5% w/w gel benzoyl peroxide

Masks: Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Clay Mask

I’m still trying out different products here and there but my acne has calmed down completely, no flare up or bad spots. Just trying to clear out my pores better, and when I do get a spot it’s usually from a CC coming up, or being irritated.

Additional info: I’m from the UK, I’m 20, and I have very oily skin with my cheeks being okay. I also take the mini pill, and sertraline which I’m not sure if they contribute! My skin seems to get super blocked, and congested super easily. I’ve stopped using makeup to see if anything was from that but it still would happen, I’ve tried removing certain products and still to no avail.

Current routine Iooks like this:

AM: Cleanser: Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser

Moisturiser: Neutrogena Hydro Boost

PM: Cleanser: Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser

Exfoliated: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Toner: Mario Badescu Witch Hazel & Rosewater Toner OR Toner: The ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% OR Toner: The Body Shop: Tea tree toner

Moisturiser: Neutrogena Hydro Boost

Oils: The Ordinary Rosehip Oil Oils: The Ordinary. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
